Yeah I am confused a bit as well. In my heart of hearts - I'd think that if the browser has a built in ad blocker, I'd have to give it a miss.

Really tricky ethical thing to weigh up here. If it is written to just protect from bad things loading up. Does it make it okay? But if it's only purpose was stopping ads, then yeah I'd venture thats against t+c's for me personally.

Only for ATS would I be this patient. I cool off for a while by watching stuff on youtube and check in from time to time waiting until things are fixed. Thank you for working on things Springer!

No point in posting screenshots since everyone else has, but this is bad... Ads in avatars, ads in posts, ads in quotes, ads in the corner, occasional pop up ads in the middle over everything...

Oddly enough it looked normal on my laptop a little bit ago, just adpocalypse on my phone. Chrome browser, android 8.1.

Springer, once you get to the root of it, you should do this again for April fool's.

I'm add free, no blocker either..best it has worked in some time, also no dead zone at the usual :27-:33

Another weird thing is I keep getting the same Mission Valley Macy's ad as a few others posted. Some of the million ads I'm seeing make sense based on tracking due to other pages I've been on recently, but I'm on the opposite end of the country from Mission Valley.

Could this be a malicious code that somehow spread to the handful of individuals who are experiencing the maximum degree of advertisement?

I probably don't even know what I am talking about, but I feel like a corrupt code or something is responsible. Can't stuff like that be spread from within images?? Soon as it loads on your page, an image is technically on your PC even if you did not right click and save as.

Thats probably super sophisticated stuff that would not end up here, but its a theory.

Are you using an add blocker. (ATS no no violation) I was ask not to use an add blocker and I have done just so.
It will take a lot more than this to get me to log off and threaten to not come back for a week.

This has taken away from good threads today. But there are good things here. No! Consulting the Add server did not work... not once.

It's happening.

Think of the good people making an account. The experience is important.

Mine were really annoying and like most of the others - inserting themselves into the text, but when they do this and overlay the text? It makes the site actually unreadable instead of annoying unreadable.

I should mention that I'm on a desktop, not my phone. I don't even want to think about what *that* would be like. I'd likely get motion sick.
