So I click on this because it's interesting ya know...
Brazilian model Caroline Bittencourt drowns after jumping into the ocean to save her dogs

This is a bikini model always at the beach and she looks quite fit so why can't she swim or at least bob around in the water a bit? Why didn't her husband throw her a life preserver ring or shouldn't she have been wearing a life jacket? How on Earth does this drowning happen?!

The more I read the article the more I wondered.

She, her husband, and her dogs (her dogs!) go out to sea and the dogs go in the drink. She jumps in after them to save them, but she apparently can't swim. What?

Her husband says he jumped in to save her and all perish except him. How is that?

I sure hope there is more information coming to help me understand this event.

yeah it doesn't take an investigation to know that was flat out murder.

BOTH dogs jumped in? and the dogs drowned?

Don't dogs 'Doggie Paddle'? There was a recent story about a dog that was found swimming out some 10 or more miles from land.....

Yeah... Too many reasons this has murder written all over it.

With another model also passing in suspicious circumstances

Tales Soares: Male model dies at São Paulo Fashion Week

Tales Soares was taking part in a show for the brand Ocksa when he fell. He was taken to a hospital but could not be revived.

Organisers confirmed his death on Twitter but did not give any details.

I dont use twitter so not sure what the tweet stated, it maybe he had always suffered with heart problems or the fall caused him to choke, just coincidental? both Brazilian, both models? could it be something more, i have no idea.

abcnews.go.com...

That article left out that the catamaran was found capsized and that they were in a storm with 62 mph winds.

This changes everything. I retract my first response.

It could still be murder, but let this stand as an example of how news reporting can mislead the public.

Too much information, too many articles, not enough time.

And remember kids to always practice safe boating!

He was rescued himself hours later

Was the boat still moving? I need information on how he was rescued hours later.

Now it makes sense. That first article clearly left out important details.

Since he almost died himself and their boat capsized I doubt it.

Strange things happen at sea. A 60 knot wind is tremendous on a sailing vessel. No doubt the deck would be pitching and rolling. A life jacket is no guarantee you would survive in those sea conditions. Many vessels outside of the US don’t adhere to Coast Guard regulations.

Not indefinitely, in 60 mph storm swells.

Swimming in those conditions takes a lot out of you, and models are usually very fit but that doesn’t mean they have conditioned themselves for that kind of work out.

Good thing OP left the storm out of the OP lol.

Life Jackets anyone? In those conditions I'd be wearing one.

My thoughts.
