First and foremost let me state this: I AM NOT A GLOCK FAN!!!
(I carry one at work because they issue it and I am required to; I have also taught firearms for over 25 years to both police and civilians mostly using the Glock)

Then I shot the G19X

And then I bought this...

G19X - Basically a Glock 19 slide on the Glock 17 frame..

I just can not find anything wrong with this pistol!!! DARN IT!!!

I have fairly large hands and the 17 frame fits me much better and for some reason the 19 length slide just works and works better than I imagined..

In comparison I own the Sig P320 and the FN : FNS-9 and love them both but this G19X just feels better in my hand, points better and I just like it..

My "Off Duty" EDC is and has been for a long time, the Sig P938, so I was not looking for a carry gun. I collect and have never really considered any Glocks simply due to the fact I consider them the "Hammer" of the pistol world. Great and reliable tool, but not worthy of collecting. Until now..

I consider this pistol to be attractive, functional, full of features and very collectable. (AARRRGGHHH I can't believe I just wrote that about a Glock!!!) However it is true.

While the longer grip will make carrying this pistol somewhat more difficult than many other options, trust me when I tell you the positives far outweigh the negatives..

So if you are in the market for a very accurate, attractive 9mm with 19+1 capability; check out the G19X.

I did, and I am glad

**Still not a Glock Fan Boy**

It's gold(en)! So pretty! It doesn't even need to be bedazzled!

I really like the color as well...

I have several flat dark earth guns but none with this particular color..

Noice,

I'm a Glock tragic. Okay, it's ugly but man when you need it, the flamin thing doesn't let you down.

Would love to have a go at the G19X but that ain't gonna happen.

Great thread.

Kind regards,

bally

I always carry two guns. I need to get a concealed carry permit so I can stop wearing sleeveless shirts. Crickets love my jokes. How much was the Glock? Im going to be buying a handgun soon for the house. Not a gun nut but I want the best and you seem like the guy to ask. My hands are big. And where do keep yours when you sleep?

You can find them used now for between 500 and 600 USD.. (I have even seen them as low as 475 but not sure I would trust that)

I always keep a pistol on my nightstand..

I do not have any children so it is loaded and easily accessible..

If you have children you may want to consider other, safer options..

Glocks are garbage, get a Sig if you want to hit something out to 50 yards.

What gun is on the nightstand?

Depends really on which gun I am currently taking to the range or cleaning..

Normally I keep either a 1911, in 45acp or 40s&w; or the Taurus Judge with 3-000 Buckshot loaded.

Which one is the best if you knew there was multiple Intruders?

If you are in fear of multiple intruders, I would suggest moving.. LOL

But to answer your question, my 1911 in 40s&w is a Para Ordnance Hi-Cap and I keep her loaded with 12 rounds..

Did they not have it in black?

I love glocks and have shot one a couple of times. Love the look of them and seen a few youtubers firing the 19X

Yeah, being shot by a gun like that would only add insult to injury.

"Doc, you wouldn't believe how ugly that gun was. That guy should be embarrassed to have it. I ain't breaking into that house again until he gets a decent looking black gun. So, uh, how long will I have to wear this cast?"

I used to carry a Ruger Super Redhawk 44 mag with a nikon scope, trigger work and magna ported barrel when I lived in Montana. I didn't even have to shoot it.... Deer would just surrender at the site of it.
