Oh pasta!! My favorite thing to make! Here is a thread I did on bow tie pasta! I don't post like I use to in the cooking forum as I'm a mom now and don't have the time. I so miss it though! I love sharing my recipes!

*sigh*

I feel you. I don't post as much as I'd like because I'm also taking care of some children.

Yea between work, my son and just adult responsibilities I have now I don't have the time I did when I first joined. I was 29, now I'm 40! Eeek! Lol I read daily but don't have the time and posting on my phone sucks because it doesn't like my photos! It always tells me only photos are accepted. ATS upload has never liked iPhones lol

Send your kid my way and reclaim your free time. I can always use an extra pair of hands in my garage sweat shop.

Hi mblah! So glad you linked your pasta thread, and that you came up with using a fork to make those cool ridges. Great idea

I don't have that tool either (funny, too, went to Goodwill looking for one the day I wrote this thread-- no luck, but I wasn't expecting much) so an alternative is great.

(And surely you know this, but never, EVER to let Augustus near your kid.)

PS We're probably just a few months apart in age, I'm 39 now but will be 40 soon!

If you find yourself lurking around town trying to spot the Italian woman:

Christine Mitzuk: Scheming

Act all nonchalant.

Actually when I waiting at the checkout and looked behind me, there she was again rambling on about something that I didn't catch at the beginning because I was turning around at the time. I just nodded my head in agreement. I was tempted to think her as the lurker.

Let's just say a therapy fund gets nearly as much attention as the college funds get.

This thread cracks me up.

I love how you invited this lady to lurk about and add intrigue and to the overall Italian-ness.

Makes everything even more legit.

She's there to help me surveil this cooking. To me, fine cooking is a spectator sport.

When people play Bridge sometimes others kibitze.
I found out that kibitzers are not helpful in poker.

I was explaining to my Sarge one day about how I came to owe $100 to this guy off base.

When I came to the part where I described the guy behind me telling me which cards to keep and which to discard, he explained that since he was telling me, then he was also telling the guy across from me what my hand was.

"You do realize that they were working together, right?"

"Well, maybe so. He did say he was his cousin."

Sometimes I think that they should have picked someone else for that secret mission.

Oh haha true, my friend, it's pasta day!

Very funny I was looking up ravioli recipes yesterday! Guess it's settled--that's what's for dinner.

Awesome. Pasta night: a new tradition.

I decided against Culurgiones after reading they're traditionally served on the Day of the Dead!
On the second day of spring this hardly seems fitting.

Why, yes!

Today I'm having my sis-in-law over and teaching her how to hand make and roll her own pasta!

I did want to ask you but I'm afraid of the answer-- lol.

We're gonna make something similar to that filini in the video (seems the closest I can get to spaghetti w/o a machine) but I'm using it for a carbonara.

Does that break the rules or...

You can use those, not the traditional pasta but close-ish.

Here's one for you. Mushroom and goat cheese ravioli (black trumpet, king osyter, #ake, maitake and porcini) with a ramp and butter sauce:
