Welcome to the new year!

2019.

Wow.

Still no flying cars, so WTF?

Anyway. . . . it is time for new year resolutions.

I (of course) always make and keep mine, but I understand that some don't.

SO what are your resolutions for the new year?

Me?

I have several.

I plan to;
1. Continue blinking
2. Stay fat and unhealthy
3. Drink too much
4. Lose more hair
5. Occasionally shave
6. Irritate people
7. Continue to work on my banjo-disco fusion album
8. Publish my book, "Why Jesus Voted For Trump"
9. Fart loudly

and for the final DB resolution of 2019. . . . .

10. Sing bad opera while grocery shopping!

My New Year's resolution...is to not make any New Year's resolutions. Those I CAN keep!

1. Overrated.
2. Pace yourself buddy.
3. This isn't a race...
4. I am considering petitioning God to tweak biology so that men have to earn their hair. I will keep you apprised but I'm not optimistic.
5. Considering #4, I think it's only fitting.
6. You've met your match.
7. Do you honestly play banjo? I will produce the record for free.
8. The real REEEE will take hold when you publish the follow-up, "HOW Jesus Voted for Trump"
9. If you work melodies into your flatulence, I'm all for it.
10. So that's you? You're really not that bad...

Happy new year DB!

Good advice there. My neighbor recently told me he takes two breaths before responding to anyone. I've been trying that but it is still far from a habit.

I wish I had seen the value in tempering (some of) my reflexive actions when I was younger. (Obviously quick reflexes are a strength in many domains.) Perhaps blindness to this virtue is all part of the game.

Since it will be the Year of the Pig next month, mine is to eat more bacon... my wife and I already tried a few weeks ago to make home-made bacon and survived food poisoning, salmonella among others. Our kids hate it, too salty they say.
