That’s true. The due process is ALWAYS : “you entered illegally, goodbye”.
Unless, of course, one requests asylum.

Which WILL be denied if they don’t qualify. Pesky process huh?

Nope. Perfectly legal.

So you’re saying it’s ok to get on a boat, go ashore WTHOUT letting the authorities know about it and that’s it, you’re allowed to stay.

Just like leftists want the United States to do?

Wrong. EVERY COUNTRY ON EARTH deports Illegal aliens.

Every. Single. One.

The United States does too and should always continue to do so.

Don’t ‘sneak’ in. How hard is that to comprehend?

It's your use of the word "illegal" that is messing you up. Many countries allow free travel across borders by specific others. They aren't illegal and, like me, won't get deported because they haven't broken any laws.

But rejecting valid asylum seekers by placing them in a system where they can never become 'legal" is breaking several legally binding agreements.

“Valid” asylum seekers.

And if someone sneaks into NZ and just decides to stay there and live there, when they’re caught they ARE deported.

Just like EVERY single country on Earth

Because illegal immigration IS against the law.

According to the UNHCR, who define refugee and asylum seeker definitions for New Zealand, there is "no such thing as a bogus or illegal asylum seeker". Every case is evaluated before granting refugee status, there is no prejudice applied.

That makes every asylum seeker a valid asylum seeker.

And every one is ‘evaulated’ And those who do not fit the criteria for asylum, are deported.

As they should be.

No using UNHCR definitions an asylum seeker is either granted refugee status or not.

Not making refugee status is not a criminal charge. Nor are they automatically deported. They may still seek visa or migrant status by other means.

If they are rejected refugee status on the grounds of criminal acts, they are deported for those crimes to stand trial in the jurisdiction in which the crimes were committed. If the crimes were committed in our country they are likely to stand trial and be jailed under our law. They may also apply to their embassies for deportation.

Don’t try to claim that there is one single country on Earth that just allows anyone who wants to enter to simply ‘SNEAK’ across the border and stay for life with no application, no documentation, no official ‘anything’. Like Libs and morons want the United States to do.

Because there is NO country that allows that.

EVERY country has immigration laws and those laws MUST be adhered to. Or they deport.

That isn't even true in the US. Wake up and smell the cavefe.

You are supposed to have an option to apply for asylum, which, in the US, you can only do from on US soil.

If you are immediately declared 'illegal' and deported without trial or consideration of the specific facts in the situation, then then you would have no chance to claim asylum which, by agreement, the US must consider (it is signatory to binding agreements that it will do so).

The current quotas and almost impossible asylum process in the US represents a break of trust by the US government.

a reply to: tensetekThe slain policeman's family should sue the state and any settlement should come from the pension fund of the states lawmakers and legislators. Not the tax payers. Cut their current benefits and future benefits and when they see money being taken from their pockets maybe they'll start having some intelligent and sane thoughts about sanctuary cities and amnesty of illegal criminals.

That's just too logical and would probably work, better not try that......

and for those that cannot detect, I'm being facetious.

Build the wall, nice and tall! Deport the illegals! Repeal the unconstitutional sanctuary city laws and change our sh** immigration policy's! NO MORE CHAIN MIGRATION! Exped to be at over 800 by Wednesday the 26th.

"ICE said in an emailed statement to CNN that after decades of inaction by Congress, the government is limited in what it can do to remove families who are in the United States illegally.

"To mitigate the risk of holding family units past the time frame allotted to the government, ICE has curtailed reviews of post-release plans from families apprehended along the southwest border," the statement, which did not specifically refer to the Sunday night incident in El Paso, read."

It's even worse here in CA. These people are crossing by the hundreds NOT going home!

"Shelters holding nearly 15,000 migrant children near capacity" Updated: Dec 14, 2018 06:46 AM EST
www.wfmz.com...

" Government shelters holding immigrant children are about 92% full, according to a Department of Health and Human Services official, a sign that the backlog of those in detention has not abated."

Things are getting bad and MORE IMMIGRANTS are on the way!!

"El Paso aid agencies overwhelmed as 1,600 migrants are cast on to streets"

Ice has been unceremoniously offloading migrants from overstretched detention facilities, in increasing numbers in recent months. Authorities allow them to stay with US relatives or sponsors while their applications to remain in the US crawl through the system.

“It’s a challenge,” George Miller, the lead pastor at El Calvario, said.

Ice is releasing an average of 2,000 migrants a week just in the area around Las Cruces and the nearby border city of El Paso, Texas.

Numbers began increasing sharply in the summer after the Trump administration started detaining more people caught crossing the border unlawfully, Miller said.

“We’ve been operating at full capacity ever since,” Miller said. “It looks like this trend will continue for a while.”
