Stating specifics of admiration while at the negotiation table isn't even remotely the same thing as building an entire platform on the foundation of one's adoration and worship of the socialist religion. Which, if you're keeping notes, is where most dictators actually rise to power. Stalin, Lenin, Castro, Maduro, Mao, Hitler, Mussolini, Jong-Il... all dictators who sprang from socialist/communist platforms. No idea what Trump has to do with that, but I'm sure you'll invent something you think fits.

I would love to have the government own the equity of my house to appease her. What's not to love.

First and Foremost , Know Your Enemies TRUE Self , then take Action to Neutralize it . She/He is a Transvestite , which Points to Deception , then you Decide from there ..........

I thought we learned the solution to climate change from French president Macron. Tax the peasants and send the money to China.

It would be awesome wouldn't it? Let the government just own whatever of ours they want, and then tax us for the privilege of allowing us to use it anyway?

Off the shelf is an understatement. I am a bad person who is not terribly worried about the environment.

I want new infrastructure just not expensive AND useless replacements.

The off-the-shelf component worries me because it is that quality which points to the probablility that the plan/s have been developed and reviewed with industry partners and their lobbyists. There is probably something out there along these lines that could already be submitted to Congress to be voted on in one of those last minute votes on a Friday before a long holiday. The People (peasants) would never see it comming.

That's how they so quickly rolled out the ACA. The politicians proposed what they wanted and the Insurance industry lobbyists did the heavy lifting while Industry Lawyers wrote the outlines of the Legislation which was handed over to Congressional staffers to fill in the blanks.

Another great example of off-the-shelf was the rapid invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan by Bush. And another example is the Patriot Act. All that stuff had been in the works for years.

No.

(vi) making “green” technology, industry, expertise, products and services a major export of the United States, with the aim of becoming the undisputed international leader in helping other countries transition to completely greenhouse gas neutral economies and bringing about a global Green New Deal.

Especially no.

We're worried about the US. Let those places worry about themselves.

No need for this. "Climate change" is a 1000 year problem, not something your grand kids will have to deal with.

Don't believe everything democrats say (or any of it, really). They want to get you whipped into a frenzy so you'll throw your money at them and vote for their candidates of decreasing quality. Look at the lies they told in Alabama, Russia-bot false flags. They already know Republicans don't believe a word of their Russia hysteria paranoid lies. So who was their "false flag" targeting? Dems. Leftists. That's who.

Your party treats you like dirt and they look at you like dirt.

Have some God # self respect.

In the interests of full disclosure:
1) Haven't been in a frenzy since 9/11; and
2) I am not a Democrat.

Pretty much anymore I am somewere between Libertarian and Constitutional Monarchist.

I think people need to understand what "Smart Cities" are first. They are trying to move all population into one dense and large city. Stacking buildings with tiny homes and allowing us CERTAIN AMOUNTS OF electricity, water, etc. and if an individual or family goes over these amounts, you are penalized and/or fined. Penalized into putting in work for the providers. The providers being whom? THOSE WHO PAY FOR THIS aka banksters. This plan is another way to control and bring rapid socialism and facism on our republic. It's going to benefit those involved, not the citizens. It never does. Smart Cities are against freedom. See Deborah Tavares. reply to: TonyS

Sounds more like a religious mission and idealism made to sound possible which it isn't.
"green" is a misnomer to start as is "renewable" energy (unless you're talking about biomass).
A living wage and job for everyone, pure clean water and air - woohoo!
Who could disagree?
If we're all willing to live like serfs in the Middle Ages I suppose it could happen.
Obama only promised "free" healthcare.
Look at how well America prospered under that idea.
Cortez is throwing the whole damn wish list catalog out for bait.
It's the American dream alright because we're all asleep.

Green technology?
Is there a bigger oxymoron around?
Incredible the lies were willing to believe just because the words sound nice and inoffensive.

Amen friend.
Remember those famous words, " I am from the Government and I'm here to help."
WE DO NOT WANT THEIR HELP. STAY OUT OF OUR LIVES AND DIE.
Sadly we live in an age where people do not research and want that quick effect, Obamacare anyone?

Economists have now studied Ocasio-Cortez's "Green New Deal". Their conclusion:

The Green New Deal would dramatically reshape the U.S. economy and add tens of trillions of dollars to the national debt.

The radical plan would force families to pay more to heat, cool and provide electricity to their homes. It would raise the same costs for businesses, farmers, government and organizations, driving up their operating costs – and raising the prices for just about all the good and services Americans buy.

Under the Green New Deal, Americans would have to power their homes with renewable energy, such as wind and solar power. Every home and business in the United States would have to be “upgraded” for “state-of-the-art energy efficiency, comfort and safety.” And a slew of massive government social programs and mandates would be created.

Yet despite all these negatives, the Green New Deal has garnered significant attention and support from some members of the media, Congress, and even prominent senators considering 2020 presidential runs: Cory Booker, D-N.J.; Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.; and Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.
