Rremove the link and ask to be spoken to by a mod. You shouldn't be tempting people to click what you've stated is malicious.

I think that may be an isolated issue dude.

I can’t even access that site to monitor what it does.

Are you using a tablet?

Yep. Me too. One particular ad from a jeweler or something was up. I was typing a reply. Each time i touch the screen it would redirect me. Almost as if there was some (*).on(click, touch) event. Once the ad cleared the event handler stopped redirecting. Id have spent actual time debugging if i wasnt on mobile.

I think that may be a different issue, I have not been directed there from ATS. Maybe you have some other redirectional software on your computer. Run an antivirus or malwarebytes, but make sure when downloading malwarebytes you go to the actual site, some scammers have set out traps to get people to go through their sites. After years of using a computer, I have learned to look at the actual site URL before clicking on it.

In chrome would that be "Clear browsing data"?

I've had the same thing happen. Maybe not that site but a pop-up comes up telling me it's not a secure site and would I like to continue or close the page. I'm on a kindle.

It's almost constantly ads for the danger of chewing tobacco.

If ATS doesn't go to HTTPS, the site is doomed.

Hiya Paddy, I've snipped the link as a precaution. It comes up clean on VirusTotal, but other test sites indicate it shows 'suspicious indicators.'

The owners and admins have been notified about it and are sure to investigate at the earliest opportunity. Could be anytime considering the day and all.

Thanks for alerting.

Get a good spyware checker. I use superantispyware; it’s got a free version

I had the same issue. Switched my browser from chrome to duck duck go. All redirects stopped completely.

From the increasing number and severity complaints about www.abovetopsecret.com , the end-game may be that the owner(s) are looking for additional excuses to do what's planned anyway. To shut down.

That's what the CONSPIRACY side of me is saying.
