Which time was Michael Cohen telling the truth?

I'm not certain that he's telling the truth in any situations.

The problem is, when people are being investigated who are shady (and let's not kid ourselves...Cohen is shady), their tendency is to lie to protect themselves. It's a self-preservation instinct that most people have.

So, I would argue that Cohen lied from the start, both to protect himself and possibly Trump from any perceived illegal activity (whether or not it actually is illegal is irrelevant in my consideration). That would be the 'taking a bullet for Trump' mentality. Plus, why bite the hand that feeds you when you might not have to?

Now, Cohen is throat deep in federal-prosecutor sh*t, and the same instinct is being applied here (self preservation). The difference now is that the hand that can feed him is the federal government, and that entity is wanting certain types of information for an end goal that has been stated numerous times (not by the NY US-Attorneys' office, but by the hunt against Trump from the start, which is a federal process).

Cohen, being a shady character, is probably willing to claim anything and everything that is advantageous to him via a plea deal, which includes a hopeful sentence of 0-6 months of prison time (which is nothing for what he pleaded guilty to). The problem is whether or not there is backing hard evidence to substantiate the claims from Cohen, and we don't know anything about that evidence yet.

My point in all of that rambling is that you can never really trust anyone who changes their story as much as Cohen and these other people who are falling victim to the obtusely focused Mueller special council...unless there is associated evidence.

And even then, some of the claims are meant to sound like illegal activity, but may not be, even if there's evidence.

Flynn is going to get his case overturned looks like Mueller lied to him. And worse tricked him into an interview. Even the agents that did the initial report thought he was honest about it. Wasn't until struck rewrote the report 6 months later that suddenly he lied.

I think Mueller has been decieved by several people he counted on to do there jobs.

Really? Muellar was not involved with the interview in which Flynn lied.

Even the agents that did the initial report thought he was honest about it.

That's sort of what the Nunes' intel report said that McCabe said.

According to whom? His filing doesn't say that. He lied. He admitted it. Because he cooperated with the investigation, Muellar recommended leniency in sentencing.
