City of Lights out: Paris hit by huge mystery power cut

The power cut hit parts of the French capital at around 4.30 pm on Monday afternoon. At last four arrondissements were plunged into darkness: the 2nd, 10th, 11th and the 19th. As the electricity went off in Gare du Nord and Gare de L'Est stations in the north of the city, as well as one of the capital's most famous streets Rue de Rivoli in the centre, as well as across several arrondissements, unsurprisingly it didn't take people long to react on social media.

Sanctions are not working. Head on war is out of the question. Did Russia just cyber counter attack Pairs (The City of Lights).

Who cares we spend what they spend on their entire yearly military budget in a week or 2.

So you realize what that means right?

It means they cant do # in the grand scheme of things. 1950s are over.

China is what you should be worried about but even that isnt much of a threat our economies are heavily reliant on one another

Hacking a nuke power plant into meld down is a threat. The new asymmetrical warfare, with nukes to back it up.

How does this benefit Russia?

Break that down for me. What do they stand to gain?

My guess is nothing considering Europe is a major importer of oil.

What countries are buying all of Russia's oil?

Take a guess.

Nato has been hacking into their systems because of the Ukraine thing, so they hit back.

As for the oil it would hurt Europe bad if Russia cut off the oil in the winter cold. Russians knows how to sacrifice for their country.

I see it as going a bit overboard to assign blame so early with no concrete evidence to support the accusation. Blackouts happen due to cable faults and myriad other mundane reasons all the time.

OR, it would be the perfect scenario to utilize such an attack.

I mean, lets do the full spectrum CT here!

More like we would sanction them and cut the balls off their economy. Europe can go elsewhere.

Read about the quality of french nuclear power plants, then there is nothing mysterious left with power cuts in France.
Why do other european nations sell energy to France, like Germany for example(believe it´s 3% of the electric power that is produced in Germany which is sold to France, per year). Because France is so good in producing energy?

But sure, yeah, it´s always the russians/Putin, especially since the latest Ukrops move. I bet if the earth is hit by a meteor tomorrow, the survivors in the west, especially those from the NATO, will say that Putin threw the meteor and hit earth with it, for reasons...
