This should be a Thanksgiving hoot...

I strongly dislike (in no particular order)

a.) Avenged Sevenfold (too 'anthemy'/trying too hard... hit the snooze button)
b.) Pearl Jam (pearl-colored jam? no thanks...)
c.) Nickelback (even Nickelback hates Nickelback..so... )
d.) Red Hot Chili Peppers (songs are too "emotional..." a band that once appealed to skaters.. now write some rock already? or come out da damn closet boyz..)
e.) Foo Fighters (tie me to a chair and spoon-feed me dogshyte)
f.) All this new 'Anthem Rock'... so you got a stomp-beat and a political message?.. ur an ARTIST!... ;-] (BARF)

Well, I can't go lower than 'F' according to Satan's rules of rock-n-roll ratings so... hrmm... until next time ya'llz!

I do like the foo fighters older albums but the last several are terrible...

And the chili peppers have 3 or 4 good songs but not much else

Green Day, every hair band from the 80s. I don't need to listen to 3-6 minutes of guitar intros only to hear some douchebag make the same noises cats in heat make while fighting other cats in heat.

The only thing I'm grateful for with regard to Nirvana is that they pretty much killed hairbands.

Unfortunately, they replaced one insufferable sound with another.

Any Rap,boy band,or most new country.As for me,just take those old records off the shelf...

anything with fake handclapping
which means just about anything on today's Top 40 stations

might be easier to lists bands that don't suck

Not true. Both the Beatles and nirvana have influenced loads of bands.
You may night like them but someone did.

They certainly have had influence. Almost any interview from an artist will reveal one of those two bands. This doesn't bolster their place IMO.

I get that many love em. I for one can not get into them, at all.

I only object to autotune. I think those artists who use it are a complete sellout and fraud. People with talent should sell music. Anybody, literally anybody can sound decent with autotune.

Can't understand at all why it is so popular now. Fake music.

No specific bands have elevated my ire enough to be listed here. Except......... well, any group that has leaned too heavily on autotune. YOu know who you are.

But they didn't get the radio and MTV to stop round the clock playing of bull# hairbands. Nirvana and Pearl Jam did. They sucked ass, but that should tell you how much I think hairbands sucked.

Almost anything country, especially if it has that whiny sounding steel guitar in it. My dislike for that sound extends to anything else that has it. I also dislike classical violin (strangely drop the tone and it's fine - I like 2CELLOS and The Piano Guys) and fiddle for the same reason.

Most rap.

Most hair bands, but not all or at least not all songs. I have a few I like for nostalgia reasons.

Pop Music, especially the new stuff that sounds like nasal cat sex and thumping with autotune.

Dave Matthews Band makes my skin crawl...
