Whats the meaning behind the number 72 repeating in historical texts.

Why does the number 72 appear throughout different wide ranging historical texts?
of course there are other numbers always appearing but are they as wide ranging in
their dispersion across different cultures and time frames, usually i have been able
to attribute reasoning to numbers like 3, 7, 12 for example as being directly related
to the stars, orions belt, Pleiades and the signs of the zodiac respectively, but the
number 72 is different...
although that is my view and apparently 72 is also prevalent up there in the cosmos

there are many examples of the number 72 being an important number throughout history,
but the reason why.... eludes me!

the number has got me very interested because my name and dob can fit in the system that is
explained in the articles, dob adds to 27, and name 108 in simple gematria.

do others out there see significance in these numbers, or other numbers that fit another pattern?

All religion is based off ancient astrology, the science called precession of the equinox. These are stories passed on to the previous ignorant generations to preserve this science through stories that never actually happened.
