Immigration Expert Has Four Suggestions for President Trump to Stop The Caravans.

Jessica Vaughan, director of policy studies at the Center for Immigration Studies, offered four recommendations to President Donald Trump and his administration on how to solve the border crisis caused by the stream of migrant caravans seeking entry into the U.S. via Mexico.

1 – Close the Border.
Vaughan said the executive branch “needs to do something in the short-term,” including consideration of shutting down crossings through the U.S.-Mexico border.

2 – Refuse Bogus Asylum Claims.
Mansour noted the economic reasons for caravan migrants seeking entry to the U.S.: “The media is not even trying to pretend that these people are fleeing for anything other than economic reasons.” Economic reasons is not an Asylum Qualifier.

3 – Refuse Entry to Migrants and Send Them Home.
Vaughan added, “[Trump must] actually send them back. That’s what it’s going to take to avoid having more of these caravans. These are not credible fear claims that are credible. They don’t meet the standard of the law, and therefore they’re going home and we’re not even going to allow them in as others have. It’s over. That’s what it’s going to take.”

4 – Mandate Asylum Claims be Made in Consulates or Embassies in Home Countries, Not U.S. Ports of Entry.
Both Vaughan and Mansour said migrants seeking asylum should file their claims at consulates or embassies within their own countries, not at U.S. ports of entry.

Vaughan highlighted Mexico’s negligence in allowing migrants — many of whom are seeking passage to the U.S. — to illegally enter its territory through its southern border.

Vaughan said of Mexican authorities: “When they want to enforce their immigration laws, they do it pretty strictly with behavior that would never be tolerated against Mexicans in the United States.”

Mexican authorities could intercept migrants seeking entry to the U.S. on a transnational train nicknamed, “The Beast.”

“These people are going to be headed for The Beast, the train that heads up through Mexico to the U.S. border,” said Vaughan, “They can stop it there. They can stop a lot of people there.”

It appears that MEXICO is adding people to the current caravan that started in Honduras. It reached Mexico's southern border with 4,000 immigrants. 1,500 have chosen to apply for re-settlement in Mexico.

But today, the caravan has re-grouped, grown, and is heading to the U.S.A. once again, with at least 7,000 members. It stretches for miles, according to the LA Times this evening: www.latimes.com...

The government of Mexico worked with the United Nations, and Secretary-of-State Mike Pompeo last week, to enact measures that would prevent thousands of immigrants from amassing at the U.S. border. It doesn't seem like that worked out too well.

Even if 50% of the caravan reached the US/Mexican border, where would thousands of people stay, while waiting their turn in line? There's already a back-log of applicants ahead of them.

I wasnt aware they made it off that bridge. They were totally hemmed up there by Mexican authorities. CNN reported that once that teargas sprayed they simmered right the F down.

Problem there is unless they're carted allllllllll the way back home, then they just go down several miles and attempt to re-penetrate the border again. Without active deterrence they lack the incentive to not dare F around again.

There is a country in Europe sending illegal immigrants back home on cruise ships.

The U.S. could buy an older Carnival cruise ship, and make continuous round trips between the U.S. and Central American countries.

Nope. Take the fence-crashers along with those who have applied and been denied on the ship. Once it accumulates enough passengers (est 2,000?), send it on it's way. By the time it gets back, another group will be ready to depart.

I got ya on those numbers. Now keep in mind these may be a little off but will help put such a task in perspective.

The priority would be a cruise ship for this particular caravan. That would discourage future caravans. Especially if the swimming pools and all-you-can-eat buffets are closed. Just give them peanut butter and TV while being returned home.

I got an idea! Now in no way does this make me a bad person because I am one already.

So the Air Force and Navy fly Blackhawks over the caravan and drop leaflets that are weighted down with an empty water bottle and a half eaten honey bun. And the leaflets are just a piece of paper that says do it legally or not at all.

If you catch a mouse in your house, and drop him right outside the door, it will run right back in as soon as it gets the chance. You have to take the mouse to another block and let him go.
