there should be consequences for trying to rape someone too. Like not getting nominated for the supreme court.
Who wants a cry baby drunk anyway?

I bet there wont be. Grassley wants to obstruct justice in any way he can. Including putting a rapist on the supreme court.

Mitch McConnell is in charge now. He says that there will be a senate vote this week.

Too bad he was a successful lawyer and litigator before he ever met Stephanie Clifford. Who BTW is his only porn star client Which you obviously do not know.... You apparently think he just represents the adult film industry. He doesnt.

Avonatti is getting investigated as we speak.

He'll be lucky to get a job at Fuller-Brush next year.

McConnell will not be holding any vote until the FBI wraps up.

The last time he grew one nut and scheduled a vote before counting his ducks, McCain rocked his world.

This time he has multiple GOP on record that they wont vote in favor until the FBI is finished.

Yes, the clearer they become. Want to know why? It's because your mind is creating details. The memory is clearer, but less accurate.

Every time you access a memory you run the risk of creating false details.

Exactly and there are many articles and studies that back that up. like this one..

The fallability of memory

from the article..

Unfortunately memory isn't even remotely like a record/playback device. As neurologist and renowned skeptic Dr. Steven Novella puts it,

When someone looks at me and earnestly says, "I know what I saw," I am fond of replying, "No you don't." You have a distorted and constructed memory of a distorted and constructed perception, both of which are subservient to whatever narrative your brain is operating under.
As I like to say, we are a story our brain tells itself, and our brains are motivated, skilled, pathological liars.

It doesn't matter. Even if Keysar said out and out that she knew Kavanaugh, went to a party with Kavanaugh, and even has pictures, it still isn't proof that what Ford claims is true.

As a young parent with a weird interest in repressed memories I experimented on my daughter. This happened a few years after the McMartin Preschool hysteria. At the dinner table one night I casually mentioned the time she got lost at the mall, how we looked all over for her and finally found her at the food court with a lady who recognized she was lost and sat with her till we showed up. At first she said she didn't remember it. As we talked we fed her more details about the "incident"...about how scared me and my wife were, that the mall was so big that she could be anywhere. After a while I asked her if she remembered how old the lady who found her was. She filled in the missing information and said it was an old lady and that the old lady bought her an ice cream cone.

I was probably a horrible monster for experimenting on my own kid but she is a now a productive adult with no mental issues due to this implanted memory of an event that never happened.

My point is that over time, our minds can and often do fill in the missing details that we feel are important if we really believe something happened.

At first I believed Ford. I figured that it's pretty likely that a high school kid at a beer party might try to grope a girl. I know I did several times, but must have been a good judge of bad character because 9 times out of 10 the girl was ready and willing. The rare times a girl said no, I stopped and started chatting up someone else. But after listening to her testimony I no longer believe her. Nor do I think getting groped as a teenager at a party would have caused such serious mental issues.

I got groped by older females as a teenager and thought I hit the jackpot....Lest you think I was some lust crazed perv, I remained a virgin until my wedding night when I was 21.

Granted, my personal experiences do nothing to prove who is telling the truth. I do believe Ford has reaped financial reward and a form of celebrity status due to her "coming forward" with this. This raises my suspicions about her motives.

It appears that Senate Judiciary chair Chuck Grassley is SERIOUS about not letting anti-conservative groups and individuals take control of, or damage, the Brett Kavanaugh SCOTUS confirmation process.

Here is an excerpt from a letter that Senator Grassley sent to FBI Director Christopher Wray this evening.

As part of that process, the Committee has been investigating various allegations made against Judge Kavanaugh. The Committee's investigation has involved communicating with numerous individuals claiming to have relevant information.

While many of those individuals have acted in good faith in providing the Committee information during the investigation, unfortunately it appears some have not.

As explained below, I write today respectfully referring Mr. [REDACTED] for investigation of potential violations of 18 U.S.C. §§ 1001 and 1505, for materially false statements Mr. [REDACTED] made to the Committee as part of its investigation of allegations against Judge Kavanaugh.
Much more at: www.redstatewatcher.com...

This criminal referral gives notice to others who will be questioned by the FBI this week about Christine Ford's accusations against Judge Brett Kavanaugh, to BE HONEST.

And, after the FBI investigation is completed, in 7 or fewer days, I bet there will be other CRIMINAL REFERRALS. Referrals For more than "making false statements".

-CareWeMust

What if I were to say that Christine Ford was in reality raped by her father for years. When she got her period he stopped.
She had such harm done to her mentally that she struggled telling anyone. Hence the drinking, passing out.
Brett was from the same area and a successful man, she projected the anger for her father onto him.
Her mother knew but turned a blind eye.
It hurt her mother to know she wasn't woman enough to please her sex crazed husband.

Do you want me to prove it really happened?
The burden of proof is not on me.
Yoi prove it didn't happen.

The thing is....Even if Kavanaugh could prove his innocence, if the FBI found no evidence, or if Ford recanted, no Democrats would vote for him anyway.
That is why this whole thing is a joke and a travesty.

The FBI is expected to finish up tomorrow, wednesday at the latest. According to mcconnell's timeline, the floor vote will be saturday or sunday. Well past the one week deadline and nearly a week after the FBI finishes their supplemental background check.

Huge hole was blown in her story from 35:00 to 40:00.

Ford claims she only told feinstein and lawyers she was interviewing about the story. But also that during this time frame she changed her mind and started interviewing lawyers on the advice of friends she told. That timeline makes no sense at all. Especially considering she was at her parents who she said she didn't tell about it. So we are to believe that unsolicited her friends she previously told, contacted her while she is on vacation at her parents, to suggest she get a lawyer.

Then she goes into the whole "life story polygraph" section. Can't remember which day she took it, the day of her grandmothers funeral or the next morning. Can't remember if she was recorded. Goodness.

LOL this woman can't keep her story straight. Because it's a story, not reality.

Grassley wrote a letter to Whitehouse

This is a great read. Grassley slams Whitehouse for his handling of the bogus claim that is the subject of this OP.

It also seems like a stern warning to others about bringing false claims.

I like how he explains how these false claims are hurting women. For example:

Worse, I'm sure you can see how false claims like your constituent's can cause some people wrongly to discount survivors' stories.

I liked this part:

Finally, based upon your priorservice as the U.S. Attorney in Rhode Island, I hope that you will lend your important voice to my reminder to our colleagues of the impropriety of politicians and their staffsattempting to meddle in potential or ongoing federalinvestigations, including with pressor other public statements.
