Stop remaking shows to fit the stupid new politically correct agenda. I seriously hate this country anymore. Lets remake Martin with a white family? How about The Cosby's?? Why stop there, lets go with shows that are all Asian or Indian.

Hollywood has zero talent anymore. All they do is remake shows with an updated cast an color. It's annoying.

Black Magic or not this is still a very bad idea. We all want more black people represented, but we don't want token black people.

Sometimes methinks TV writers are too busy with their mirrors and razors to realize that we don't like actors just because they are black. We like TY characters despite their heritage, perhaps this a shameless cash in on the BLM movement.

I completely agree with this. It’s just lazy ass people who’s idea of originality is to try and place a spin on old classics where a white male character is replaced by a black/female equivalent.

It’s not interesting and it’s not new it’s not interesting it’s just crap.

Who would want to see a white version of Fresh Prince or an inverted version of Different Strokes? Nobody. Ever.

Classic films/series should be left alone unless they can be improved.

If Hollywood or the TV networks want to promote racial diversity do it by making films that are cast relevantly and show off the talents of their cast. Create a new role, create a new classic and create a new star.

We need a black James Bond as much as we need a white Shaft or a freaky reboot of Jake and Elwood as the Death Metal Brothers.

I think we need Benedict Cumberbatch to play Martin Luther King.

Just found this and I was right.. Samanthat is described as a "hard working ,black single mother", and Darrin will be white and be " a bit of a slacker" This highlights a larger issue, white men in commercials or tv are more often than not portrayed a helpless bumbling idiots.

The new comedy series will reportedly feature a biracial couple with an African-American woman playing Samantha, per the outlet. According to Deadline, Samantha is a hardworking, single mother (and a witch), who marries Darren, "a white mortal who happens to be a bit of a slacker."
