Planning on having one room in the house hidden by a bookcase on a pivot.

You'll love that.
I did that in my bar for a hidden wine cellar.
The bookcase/door looks seamless.

You get a riding lawnmower. I always wanted a riding lawnmower. My lawn is to small.

Congrads and have fun in your new digs and stay out of trouble.

I've been to Oregon. Nice people. I hear you don't want to go inland though. There's some nuttiness there.

Congratulations!

I would love a place like that, bu I am too afraid of Mother Nature to purchase a coastal property. My mother had a place on Lake Huron with the lake as her backyard. You can’t beat the views on the water.

We lived 4 blocks from Lake Erie when I was a little child, during the winter, for 4 years. (My bricklayer step-dad had a winter contract relining a furnace, so every year was 1st Nov. to mid March....we ended up in the same house every years, think he rented it from a relative. The road literally dead ended into a public beach, I think it was a summer vacation home for one of his brothers, I believe.

Snow drifts up to my 9 yr. old chest, accross the entire street, wasn't uncommon. Neither was 1'' or more of ice on vehicles. IIRC, his position came with a large truck, not a semi cab, but larger than a moving/Uhaul cab, He would tarp the cab at night, to avoid problems getting in.

The wind was killer, cold, and constant. No playing outside (TG we had cable and an Atari 2600), etc.

Great when we visited in the summer, hell in winter, but he made double scale doing this.

It's being decorated as Early American Contemporary Crawlspace.

Seems like a big change from the previous Art Deco-rate Your Face with Bruises.
