The thing that looks like a rocket at atop a flame would have been a 'ghost image' of the part of the helicopter that was exposed from spill-over from its running lights and the low available light in the environment. This can look nothing like the actual object as the long exposure and how the light plays on the object can result in strange and often elongated shapes—in this case, something like a ghostly image of a rocket.

You'll notice I didn't use the "news source" Quotes because this isn't a news source or anything official, it's just a blog.

And even then they are asking us to believe it is something they can't explain .

So to summarize, some guy on the internet shares your opinion, can't prove it's wrong and can't tell you what it really is.

the guy is full of it. the military conducts testing in a very compartmentalized fashion and they are good at it and they test things there I can promise you that

The plane in that aircraft picture that's "targeted" looks like a civilian aircraft, a Lear or Gulfstream. Maybe Zaphod will weigh in.
