Could be several coffins inside. Elite could easily have 3 to 4 coffins. Young Tut was buried encased in I think around 8 coffins. I'm guessing a noble of some sort, or minor royalty might be inside.

I was going to post this, but decided to scroll through before to see if anyone else watches the Ancient Architects channel.

I wasn't super impressed with this particular video, but it's a new discovery, so we'll see what comes from it, I suppose. Nice job posting the vid

For some reason I thought the headline read "A giant 2.6m long asparagus found in Egypt" and just thought... cool.

Would be interesting to know what's inside.

Personally, I'm hoping that when they crack it open, the guy inside sits up and yells "Dammit! Why can't you people just go away and let me sleep?! May a thousand cockroaches infest your anal cavity!"

Oh cool, now we can wait ten years to see what is inside meanwhile they milk the discovery for more money and the archaeologist will steal it, and not further investigations on the subject.

Large sarcophagus? The AE were into mummifying and burying Apis bulls. Those were very large up to 70 tons.

Ok so this box appears to the be the same as the boxes found by the frenchman François Auguste Ferdinand Mariette
in the serapeum at Saqqara .

Now the boxes at the serapeum, there are 24 if memory serves, all were found open accept for one
which was blasted open by Mariette.

However I cant find anywhere that tells you what was found inside the unopened one ?

Dont you think its a bit odd , that there are 24 and one was shut ,
they all had that weird black goo like melted rock on the boxes !

looks as id they were built to keep things inside instead of keeping people out!

I found this book by Mariette
but it doesnt say anything about what was inside when they blasted it open!

Speaking of Saqqara , the UNAS complex

can someone tell me if this large rectangular ground structure has been identified

saqqara - ground structure

as it appears to be bigger than the whole of the UNAS complex itself !

I wonder why it hasn't been opened.

One way or another, the contents should be quite interesting.

That's what I don't understand , why don't people think "hey what if this was built to keep something in"

According to the archaeologists who led the dig, the black granite sarcophagus stands at 185 centimeters tall (6 feet), 265cm long (8.6 ft), and 165 cm wide (5.4 ft). It's said to be the largest ever found in Alexandria

That 2,65cm and 1,65cm. very close to the golden ratio (1.61803399).

I would give my left arm to be present when they open this thing. Does anyone knows when this will be opened?

The Hiddensonian. What an institute, rich beyond dreams, black funded, contains
secrets beyond imagination.

Yes they have covered up the giants found in the southwest. They have quashed Cynthia WIlliams finds,
fired her and she never worked as an archaeologist again:

My take on the 8 foot long sarcophagus is it did hold the body of a giant.
An alien from the Mars migration perhaps. Since there has never been
one found of this dimension this has to be the case. Another example would
lend credence to it being extra large for more storage but this is the only one
found that is more than eight feet long.
