A terrorist shouting Allahu Akbar shot dead two police officers and a woman in the center of the Belgian city of Liege Tuesday before he was “neutralized.” He had first taken the woman hostage. There are no details available yet on the gunman.

Actually, he wasn’t hiding for years in Belgium. He’s been in a Belgian prison since 2003 and was on a 2 day leave when he stabbed the 2 police officers that were killed when he then took their service weapons and # them and a 3rd woman dead. 4 other officers were injured including one with a severed femoral artery which is a pretty grievous injury.

To answer your question... ‘What can they do about it?’ Maybe start with not giving him a 2 day holiday from prison? He’s been a resident of the state for 15 years with 2 years remaining on his sentence. A 17 year sentence doesn’t sound like he was a model citizen and by the standards of several European countries, it’s a very harsh sentence. Varg Vikkernes was one of the infamous Black Metal musicians who committed arson at several Norwegian churches prior to Varg killing Euronymous from the band Mayhem and he did 14 years, less time than this guy was sentenced to.
