There are independent polling agencies out there. And the ~50% has been holding for a while.

It could happen. They've certainly got the people to do it. Problem is that the DNC is in a civil war presently, with 3 factions vying for control of the party. You have the progressives (aka socialists), radicals (like antifa) and mainstream moderates (traditional Democrats) who all believe they are the party's base.

SS/Medicare even Medicaid (albeit begrudgingly at times). The problem with cutting social benefits is that there are plenty of folks that legitimately need assistance and that is fine. It is those who abuse the system to play video games and smoke dope all day I take issue with, which I realize represents a minority of those receiving medicaid and the like.

I continue to support these programs because although they are not perfect, I believe they are a net positive for our nation. And that is patriotism to me, supporting what is objectively best for your nation and its citizens.

So Obama's numbers would be right after the mad propaganda push to demonize ACA passage. So what is Trumps reason for being only 2 percentage points above Obama on a poll that has a right leaning bias?

You know, I really don't care about how accurate the poll is. No poll will change the fact that Donald J. Trump is President of the United States.

The reason I care what the poll says is simple: it makes certain people go into this canyption fit state where they say and do some of the most amusing things. I mean, it's a whole two years from the Presidential election to the mid-term elections. The election results lasted a good long time, but without stories like this the political scene would be soooo boring right now. And we only have 7 more months until the fun starts all over again, so maybe we can keep the entertainment value going that long.

Of course , which is why it's best to look at polling figures as a whole not just one in isolation.

It's hilariously bad for the POTUS when people start not one, but TWO threads to point out a singular poll that barely paints Trump in a positive light.. for the first time in his presidency. And it was an anomaly.. and the only poll that did so. Let's ignore a dozen others.. to point out the single poll that for a single day.. tries to make Trump seem "not terrible."

Lefties simply aren't learning. And it's because they have no platform other than an appeal to emotion and "we hate Trump".

Trump winning was a backlash to much of their hysterical nonsense. Since then they've only doubled and tripled down.

They've become even more extremist in their views. They've attacked free speech. They constantly attack anyone who doesn't agree with them. They continue the logical fallacy of not distinguishing between legal and illegal immigrant. They pretty much wake up every morning and cry about something Trump said while clowns like Jimmy Kimmel attack an immigrant FLOTUS for not speaking without accent in her 5th language....even though he apparently loves immigrants.

It's just hypocrisy from all angles.

What I predicted and its now happened is the lefties have becomes such extremists than they've cut true liberals out of their party. It's party suicide. Classic liberals believe in free speech, economic freedom, oppose welfare, small government and strong borders to protect its citizens.

Now think about that. The classic liberal by lefty definition is a racist, sexist, immigrant hating Nazi.

And there you have it.

A classic liberal would have been staunchly anti-Hillary. Yet if you didn't vote for Hillary you're considered a racist who must prove you aren't racist.

It's really not complicated.

It's not that everyone moved to the right. It's that the lefties have moved so far beyond the left.

And again it goes back to emotion. Reality doesn't exist when your platform is emotion. Whether on here, on social media, or the MSM, the foundation of their arguments are "I hate Trump". And when you hate someone, the hypocrisy of complaining about what that person says or does despite people you previously supported doing the same damn thing need not matter.

Strong borders and protecting against illegals was good when Bill Clinton said it. It's racist when Trump says it. That's modern leftist doctrine for you.

The current lefty extremism has moved so far to the left it has actually gone full circle and started to embrace extreme right, totalitarianism principles. The chokehold they'd like to have on speech and rights resembles what you see in places like Saudi Arabia and previously in places like the USSR and China.
