The problem I have is that most people seem to think there is no middle ground. It's either kill all our enemies or get killed. I don't agree with dictatorships like Saddam killing but I don't agree with the US Government either. The way I see it they are both evil, and I'd just as soon celebrate Saddam Genocide day as July 4th, as they both celebrate death in one way or another.
Freedom?....hahahah never knowing freedom ,wear it like a chain. So it's okay to celebrate the wars with a lost cause and slaughtering the meek.

Chebob, hi, and to others,
First off The 4th of July is not to celebrate 'death', per se'. If you are attrbuting 'death' in relation or with regards to 'how' our Independence was gained, please bear in mind that our Independence would not have been gained at all without death and bloodshed. I think history will speak for itself on this matter and, indeed, on a world scale and chronology, Independence has pretty much always brought death and blood shield. This also encompasses "revolution(s)."
My question to this whole topic is this: Why is it always and continuously needed to be proven that the United States is one bad mofo? Is the US perfect? Far from it. Is Democracy perfect? Far from it. Has the US aided in the freedoms of many nations who now belittle and wish to place us on 'trial' or have forgotten that it was the US that aided them in knowing the current freedoms they have and enjoy today? Yes! You can continue to judge the United States as a 'villian', as a 'tyrant', as a 'murder', as a 'bully', as 'misguided', as a 'dictatorship', as 'the root of all evil', or as the current 'Satan, Himself Incarnated', but please bear in mind, that many of the freedoms that this world and its nations enjoy today were a direct or indirect result of young nation. That nation was and is the United States of America!
I, for one, will be hoisting a beer or two to that fact! Not to the death that most certainly always occurs with said freedoms, but to the mere fact that we do enjoy said Freedoms.
Regards

Hi Chebob, I hope you did not take this wrong and I don't think you did. But I did want to say that I meant no disrespect.
Your view is your view, really. We are all entitled to our views and beliefs. I respect your view and your feelings as I also try to do the same with everyone. I am glad you didn't take serious offence to what I said, because after all Chebob, it is your G-d given right to give said view and opinion.
Thank you for responding and your understanding.

So CA do you support the Arab terroists? Do you support madmen killing innocent Americans?
If we never bomed the Japan even if it as civilian targets, that war would not have stopped. The Japs would keep fighting until they ran out of supply and swam the Pacific with Samari swords and invaded Californa.
Come on CA we need these wars to stop the madmen like the Commies and the terroists.
imagine a terrorist strike on some national monument onn the fourth of july...
can only guess what bush would do after that...
how would you american people here feel about it?

An attack on the fourth would be humiliating to the americans, i think.
if you non-yanks (like myself) think that the US is like a bully in a schoolyard now (no offence intended, i just tellin it like it is on the street), just wait. itll be ten times worse if they get hit on the 4th
ALSO i would just like to say that i resent ignorant yankee W@NKERS who go around saying "WE won dubya dubya 2 by ourselves". first of all if we (the allies who turned up on time for the war) hadnt won at el alamein north africa would have been lost. we fought the japs longer than the US did in burma. Also if the RAF hadnt beaten the luftwaffe at the battle of britain, the allies wouldnt have had a base from which to launch D-Day. and dont forget the other allies: the poles, dutch, french, canadians, russians, chinese, aussies, new zealanders, danish, norwegians, belgians, the yugoslavians, various arabic peoples, etc. I'm not denying that the US involvement was definately the biggest boost to the effort against the Axis but before you shoot ya gob off read a real history book instead of watching BS like that insult to movies 'Pearl Harbour'
