Wow Asia has certainly been getting it recent
7.0 magnitude 24.5 miles deep just struck off the coast of Kimbe, Papa New Guinea with a 5.9 before the 7 and a 5.7 after shock

No tsunami threat

No tsunami warning for this one either. Happened 2 hours ago so it is Thursday, ~5 AM local.

M 6.5 - 148km S of Severo-Kuril'sk, Russia the 10th too.

Me too if I can i try and leave a reply when I get a phone alert. But that's all I can do I don't have any specialised knowledge in earthquakes to add any more input

Where are you seeing this?

3 locations same depth, these kinds of quakes are odd to me and scary.

I copied that USGS URL and it will pull up the current quake list.

It was a 6.4 and 6.3 back to back. And then about 8-10 5's shortly after.

Wow, that is right on the CSZ with a 6.8 mile depth.
More here-source though I know it's not always the most valid.

I have been watching the West Coast for a very long time (from a human perspective)

That one, right where it is, makes me very nervous.

I think of that line as a zipper. I hope this 6.6 is just a one off and not a precursor.

Exactly, hopefully it's letting off steam. Though, as I mentioned in the thread-www.abovetopsecret.com... the plate is jammed. It's either gonna be this event or bigger(hopefully not of course!) .

Check this out, there were actually 3 quakes, all about the same size, within an hour of each other. Also, 3 smaller quakes in the 4 range followed a bit later.
