Mom....died tonight

Sorry to hear she died. My dad died on Christmas day back in seventy three. It was a blessing, he had some of his brain removed because of brain cancer around six months before. He would have never wanted to live that way.

Being a person dies on Christmas it makes it easy to remember their day of passing and it gives Christmas a special meaning.

Sounds like many christmases from here on out will be relaying stories of Mom, the comedy and tragedy of life. It really sucks when we lose someone close, especially parents. There is no way around it...its how it is supposed to be (verses she outlive her kids).

Focus on the memories that made her Mom during Christmas, both in words and spirit...

right now. It's horrible unrelenting and the worst pain

As I spend more and more time in this life, I've started to think that some times are better to "go" than others.

Christmas may not be all too great for those left behind, but I can think of worse periods for the person to leave.

A time of togetherness, gifts, warmth, holiday smells, and memories.. I could deal with that, even if its not like that every year.

All the best to you FCD. We are all getting there sooner or later. Not much more we can do than fully enjoy and appreciate the time we do have even if it never quite feels like its enough. This is the first Christmas without my father, and I doubt ill ever stop missing him dearly, but we made so, so many good memories together.

Losing your mother sucks.
I know from experience.

But a little advice. Don't let Christmas remind you of her death but her life instead.
I know a girl that lost her mother on Valentine's Day "30 yrs ago" and she still gets depressed around that time of year.

My mom died on Tuesday and I don't hate Tuesdays. Maybe Monday a little bit.

I am truly and deeply sorry to hear that and nearly lost mine but thankfully she has gotten a bit better.

There is life beyond this of that I am sure but be certain that where ever she is that she still loves and care's about you and always will.

Be strong for your children, one day we meet them again.

I don't know your religion but this I find very comforting and just maybe you shall too.
