This site is flooded with politics and regular news items these days, it's not what this site used to be all about. Trump is in every #ing headline all year long, and for years to come i feel. There was a certain kind of spice to this site, it aint there anymore. If i want to update myself on bills being passed etc or other political items there are a host of other websites for just that purpose. I guess this site used to be, ill say, underground, its not anymore so. Its just flooded with regular #.

Also, the forums arent very efficient in displaying some sort of conclusion on a topic. Sometimes threads go on for hundreds of pages, and the best info is somewhere in the middle. Could we maybe develop a system that somehow presents the post with the most stars on top or anything like that, just for convenience sake.

Maybe that's just it isn't it? I post if i feel that i can add value, at this moment there are people posting threads about cooking recipes and what not.

The quality of content has deteriorated tremendously imho. If we could move the politics and mainstream news articles to a different website, that would be great.

Just because OP does not participate does not mean they do not know what's going on. And the OP does make a good point the tone around here has changed, and it's not the first time it's been brought up.
Of course, tho people just loud mouth their way against the poster and it gets swept under the rug.

Well, don't just complain, come up with some good doom porn. It has been dry lately.

The site is entirely user content.
The users are talking politics.

Site Programmers???

This site has not been touched in years. It's full of problems, and suffers from benign neglect, but the issue is, it's pulling in ad revenue so it's "good enough." As Adam Osborne once said (just before his company went to pieces) "Adequacy is sufficient."

The content of the forum is shaped by the people who write threads.
So if you can't see the topics you want, that comes down to the fact that people are not writing them.
The only way to change that situation is to recruit more people to write the threads you want or write them yourself. What else do you think anyone can do about it?

Much of the old content of the site was actually killed off by the fiasco of nothing happening on 21/12/2012, but there's no way for us to go back past that crucial event.

Obama was quite successful in dividing America, you can see the fruits of his labors everywhere. Home, city, politics, even family.
Now you have opposite ideologies at each others throats, and that seems all that matters. Who gets the last word, clear down to the last breath. Change will be slow to come as X Box is center stage......
