Yeah? And my sister's three boys all started coming home starved because even though they ate the healthy food (they all three LOVE veggies), the changes in portions allowed meant they could never get enough to eat. So my sister had to start supplementing the school's lunch, and in a poor family, that hurts the grocery budget.

Childhood obesity is a bigger burden on our nation than children who want more food even though they are getting all of their nutritional requirements.

Winner winner

Who are you to tell someone their childrens hunger is not a big enough burden?

Oh yeah....that was only 6 mos. into his presidency. When you evaluate that whole event now, you can see how the whole thing was a setup from the get-go to begin the racial divide. Funny how Obama used a professor from his alma mater to instigate it, isn't it.

Yep.

If the US citizens got together, the things that have been grab assed to death, like health care, would be solved.

Can't have that, that would reduce profits.

Lol, look around at a shopping mall in America and tell me those kids are going hungry. I'm sorry but there are children who really are lacking the required nutrition to grow in a healthy way but healthier school lunches aren't the cause.

I've never met a kid who goes more than an hour without saying they are hungry, no matter how much they eat. It's a boredom reflex in children. I make sure my daughter gets what she nutritionally needs and if she says she's hungry after that, I tell her to grab a carrot. She's healthy as an ox, not emaciated, and is constantly whining about not getting enough salt, sugar, and fat. Like all kids do.

If you trust your children to their own nutrition, they will suffer for it for the rest of their lives.

Indeed, '' fully disarray''

I like her. I think she is a fine roll model for young women. I think she is eloquent and poised. I think she could rally large numbers of people for causes she believes in. I think she should be elected to replace Oprah or Ellen.

Conservatives were smart enough to shun the Bush dynasty. Good job folks. Liberals were not even that smart.

If we are to stand any chance of being a viable democracy we need to find some one acceptable to both sides of this crevasse of American politics. She is just to hated already by to many to be that person.

For the Democrats to rely upon dynastic familiarity would be the death knell for liberalism. Oh, wait, they tried that already and look where it got us.

But maybe that is the best we can hope for now. Someone to stand before us and spout the things we want to hear, realistic or not. Oh wait, that's what we have now ain't it?

There will be no candidate to unite the populace. To do that we would have to curtail how the media is owned. As it stands 6 huge corps own freedom of the press. But don't say that out loud, then you are a nut, the corps have what is best in mind for us right?

That reference to O and E was merely a reference to popularity in our pop culture mentality in the US. I was likening the trend in presidential elections to nothing more than a popularity contests.

There is a saying that has always made me cringe. ''Vote with your pocket book''. That is the state of our democracy. TV shows are popular or not depending upon how the sponsors judge the effectiveness of their commercials. There are algorithms, I"m sure. Such and such number of viewers = sales effectiveness. Viewers go down, sales go down. Pocketbook voting. Mr's Obama would be a mighty catch for any network that could get her.

And yes, I am aware of the centralization of media power. Some on the left have been struggling against this for over half a century. This is why they were so hateful of Reagan who allowed these mergers and buy outs and corporate structures to evolve at an ever increasing rate.

As for finding a candidate acceptable to both sides, we at least can hope can't we?

As they say, hope in one hand......

The media will destroy any and all opposition to the R and D monopoly.

This used to at least work in the average worker bee's favor. But with unions be equated with socialism and right to work being the saving grace. The average worker has yet to see a cost of living wage increase since Reagan donned the S on his chest.

The system has many fail safes to insure it not only survives but thrives.

And I will admit to a momentary thrill at Trumps surge, that maybe, just maybe, he could be the stick in the cogs of that wheel. But alas.

Edit. But alas, it seems he wants to be the whole wheel himself.

I think we should pass a law that no spouse of a past president can run for president, that negates our two term rule. I actually do not feel that the child of a past president should be able to run unless at least twenty years has passed too. A parent often has influence over their child and a child has influence over their parents sometimes too.

Amazing how little is left in the democratic party - I believe most are scared to run as skeletons always creep out of the closet. Just ask Harvey Weinstein - the latest liberal scum bag to be exposed.

Yeah, screw those skinny, highly active boys! They should be more sedentary and ... girls ... like your kid. Then they wouldn't be hungry and there wouldn't be a boy-sized hole in my sister's already thin budget.

Sheesh, what was her problem having boys anyhow?

Fine.

Mine does the same, and do you know what I tell him? Go grab some carrot, cucumber, turnip, or caulifower out of the fridge.

Know what? 9 times out of 10, he will.

My sister's kids will eat her vegetables before most other things.

This isn't about them craving candy. It's about them being hungry because the school lunch is inadequate under Lady Obama's lunch dictates.

It seems the DNC think 'celebrity' can win elections. Remember Hillary getting all those A-List pop stars on the election night?

They seriously underestimate the people's intelligence.
