ok, I got look finally.....after not seeing it the first time....ya know I'm a pro observer...huh!!

it's not at 500 feet, the apparent diameter drops rapidly....like a humming bird up close or a big hornet thing .....but I judge it to be small bird size making good time....with the wind though slight

it's 55 feet away at the start and 33 feet up at the start....if a small bird size

Doesn't it take intelligence to travel in a straight line?

Does a lack of intelligence mean something couldn't?

Ahh.

I suppose one must first define intelligence. We could proceed from there. But, is a bug intelligent?

By answering I suspect we would both find some common ground there.

A true UFO!

Meaning truly unidentified ... until a bug or bird or bat or drone operator or alien life-form or something so weird I cannot imagine steps forward and takes credit for the speeding aerial conundrum.

Thanks for it!

the fact it visually shrinks so much as it flies by shows that it's near the camera and is being foreshortened.

A large object in the distance "a mile away" wouldn't have such an apparent foreshortening

The only good bug is a dead bug.

It's a bird, click settings in the lower right hand corner and run it at .25 speed, you can clearly see wings flapping. If it's not a bird it's something that's just been shot with something flappy attached.

You should try it some time. Something other than Koontz. Heinlein, for instance. The guy who wrote Starship Troopers.

Let's remain with the facts and give credit where credit is due.

1) Not an iPhone but a Samsung Galaxy S7. Not brought to us by Apple, then.
2) Filmed by Ryan Wehner who has this to say:

I have to show you what I am seeing am seeing in my video. We zoomed into The ship as soon as it comes into sight and this ship is a anti gravity ship that spins on an axis and it spins to the left. It also does not have any wings, just two pipe like objects that stick out of the top and one of the sides of the ship and the bottom of the ship is transparent black for camouflage i believe. This video is also in slow motion mode on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Active after the first second of video with 1.0 zoom or regular zoom video!

Somewhat more pertinent: The original video seems to be with sound. But I can't hear anything and am too lazy to think about it.

Honestly, to me it is not that obviously a bird or bug. Would be the usual explanation, though.

go to 1:19 where the video is slowed down and slow it further more to .25 and you will notice a flipping wings

i think its a bug and coming from behind the cam and going away from the cam because it becomes smaller

If anyone is in doubt, before you play the video click on the "settings" icon bottom right.

Then click on 'speed' and then 0.25...

I see wings flapping, dont you?

seriously if people cant make out a bird and understand why it looks like its moving extremely fast then they shouldn't be investigating such things.

1. The operator is using or is in a Wide Angle Lens mode. 2. The operator is panning to the left in one continuous movement.

thank you

someone explains it.

The still shots shown in the video should make it clear it had wings.
