Yeah but the Democrats have never told us what full blown government heath insurance will cost.

Some people might have an interest in knowing that.

Unless of course they figure we would have to pay it first in order to find out much.

Taxes... It has been in the plan since day one. Do you knowingly just throw out BS or are you really that far out of the know?

Yeah but how much will it cost?

They just refuse to say.

Can't understand it.

What's the big deal?

We simply dont know the cost yet because the bill has not been crafted yet.

Any relation to Nancy "We have to pass it for you to know what's in it" Pelosi?

You do know that she made that remark 4 months after the bill was first introduced in full text to the House right? Maybe that sound byte the GOP has clung to for 7 years is wrong?

I'm talking about the original ACA. Remember the we have to pass the bill to see what's in the bill?

Let alone this gem of openness: ACA Architect: 'The Stupidity Of The American Voter' Led Us To Hide Obamacare's True Costs From The Public

Unless I am mistaken the house bill was put out with full text in Oct/Nov of 2009 and was finally Passed in March.

I don't believe running on a platform centered around "resist Trump" is a very good way to win elections for Democrats, especially since Trump has positive numbers when it comes to the Economy (which is the #1 issue for voters). Dems have to say what they are for, and how it will better the lives of citizens. Being anti-Trump doesn't make anyone's life in the middle class any better. Dems need to give reasons for voters to actually turn out and vote for them. If they can craft a positive message, coupled with Trump self-destruction, Dems can have a successful election in 2018.

I don't care if Trump is criticized so long as the commentary is fair.

Let’s recall why the Affordable Care Act is so messed up

Why are you posting an opinion piece that is really just an advertisement for the authors book?

I trust the Democratic party as far as I can throw them, being I am having shoulder reconstruction, that wouldn't be very far, sounds like a cheap trick to try and reel in a few of the knowledgable Rep,Ind,but most are smart enough to read thru the smoke being blown up their backsides

The untold story of the past six months is how the Democratic Party still is not for anything.

Other then all the things they are for and you ignore. This is really the problem of Donald Trump and his supporters. Being woefully ignorant and blaming others for their ignorance.

I'll bite, what are they for in North Korea? Immigration? The Economy? Health care? Concrete stuff man, let's hear their proposals and Bills. Being shut out of both parts of Congress doesn't mean you just give up.

How have the Democrats helped the country move forward since the election?

You mean the Health Care Bill that they helped keep despite the GOP trying to get rid of it and replace it with something worse or Sanders pushing for Single payer or democrats repeatedly wanting to work to fix what we have?

The Democrats joined in with more sanctions on NK but they have no other ability to do anything.

The rest we don't know yet because, surprise, the House and Senate are controlled by the GOP and they have not brought bills for any of those up yet. We know what the Democrats want in those areas. Immigration reform has been brought up as needed for years but again the GOP doesn't want it fixed due to it being too good of a campaigning tool and large supply of cheap labor. The Economy is still going strong from the Obama years so Democrats are likely not to do much in that regard other then the things proposed during the Clinton Campaign like retraining and incentives for jobs in rural areas things the GOP were against during the campaign.

Remember just because you fail to come across the information doesn't mean there is no information.

Bwahahahhaahah

Dood, you are a funny guy. Thanks for the laughs. Seriously.

Economy booming because of ......Obama! Bwahahahahahaha And chastising the poster for not knowing the stuff you also don't know. Comedy #ing gold! Keep being you man.

The problem is that Democratic plans and goals all involve higher taxes and more government control of our lives. And as far as "workable" what does that mean? Obamacare is workable, social security is workable, but man do they have problems. And for what its worth, the Senate Republicans are worthless. I just don't know who would vote for either party in 2018.

If you listen carefully, you can hear the wind in the trees. If you watch which way the trees move, you can see the agenda. The agenda never changes and the politicians always change direction when the agenda blows them that way.
