Although they are pretty, butterflies are bugs too...

They plague the highways here. Fronts of cars get painted with them ever year. Although ours are the snubnose monarchs I believe. Hard to tell after a road trip to town. Pain in the ass to get off.

Seriously, next time relocate the mantis. They eat other bugs like crickets, Flies and other nuisance insects. You could have formed an alliance and together killed hundreds of other bad insects.
