He's now on a pacemaker and fighting heart failure. It's a slow process though, so it can go for years. He's pushing through his later 60s now. What does it mean? It means he won't see 100, but what are the odds that any of us will see that age anyhow?

I know it's hard to not know what your recent discovery means, but it doesn't have to mean there is a crisis at hand. So just try not to panic because no matter what that definitely won't help.

You know you have my thoughts and prayers just like always. All the ATS family does whether they want them or not. And I will remember to put a special thought in for you.

on thursday and I have a heart murmur with some thickening of the heart muscle.
I am not sure what all this will mean down the road.I still have to go for more tests.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION... I lost 30 pounds,cut back on alcohol and
caffeine BEFORE finding out I had a heart problem!

I just closed my eyes, and said a prayer for you right here at my desk. Mamabeth, this could be something serious, or NOT. If it turns out you just need a pacemaker or a stent, they have mastered those by now. In the meantime, reduce the stress you have in your life. If that means your job, then your job it is. Take a vay-cay.

My mother was 5.9 and weighed 120, which translates thin as a rail. She had a similar problem.

Brain Aneurysms begin as child and don't develop until later on until you grow up. They are silent killers. Pretty sure heart problems are the same way.

My husband is also having issues as well.I just received my
first social security check last week.I am seriously thinking
of putting in my notice and spending more time at home.

All my wishes are with you.

It is slightly genetic btw but its totally curable. Don't worry; you will be good in the end. Less sports less alcohol less meat less cholesterol. (I know I sound very optimistic and I am. Don't worry =) )

Actually I wouldn't say less sports. The doctors said the more your active, the better; however if your idle, than the arteries in your system don't get the oxygen and blood they need. That's what I heard. I'm not sports active.
