But it's their choice

It's not the symbolism or the wine or wafers, it's the relationship with each other
It was never meant to be a ritual

They make decision based off tradition. There is an entire industry that makes these so they have to look out for the companies that they use. It's simply a matter of money if a company wants to make gluten free wafers they better cough up some doe to the Vatican

but your post illistrates my point perfectly

and this is why i find it so assanine [ the catholic dogma - not your post ]

they believe that their alledged omnipotent gawd can turn a biscuit into meat - but only if it has the " correct " ingredients list

I know people who seriously believe in the Star Wars force or something very close to it
Good on them , I am not going to go full la la over it.
Yes it's alanine, plenty of people believe other crazy things
