Who would have thought when watching G.I. Joe Retaliation in 2013 that the world would actually witness Hydra unleashed upon us the following year when ISIS became a thing after taking Mosul and declaring a Caliphate.

My theory is that either the idea for Hydra(ISIS) was probably struck as a deal between global powers as justification to take military adventurism anywhere it needed to go, or it was simply co-opted by the powers separately for the same purpose.

Regardless of who or how ISIS was started, it now serves the agenda for most of the powers of the world today from any side. Part of the reason this is possible is because of the fluid, viral, and de-centralized anonymous nature of the organization.

NATO needs to become directly involved on the ground in Syria because the factions they supported are losing?? ISIS will justify it no matter how illegal. Russians need a reason to conduct strikes with little need to question?? Queue ISIS!!! Do European governments need authorization for sweeping powers and rallying the voter base?? Queue ISIS terror attacks which any intelligence agency can claim in the name of ISIS online!

Everywhere ISIS goes, NATO forces, and it seems Russian as well seem to follow! Russia is playing around in Egypt and Libya now, we can thank the presence of ISIS and affiliated gangs for that. Even when governments use dirty guerilla tactics like car bombs or infrastructure "failures" as tit for tat, now we can just have the offending agency/government have their spooks online claim it in the name of ISIS.

Somehow ISIS is inside of our governments, apart from it, and attacked by them all at the same time. Even non-aligned nations suffer attacks that immediately have them join one side or another as a collaborative effort to combat this global threat. The Gulf States even used ISIS, or to an extent support for them as an excuse to nearly attack one of their own for not bending the knee quite well enough.

Malaysia and Indonesia have joined the Philippines and American forces in their fight against ISIS aligned militants.
All militant groups are ISIS aligned until boots need to be on the ground, whether they be special boots or regular. Then it is ISIS pure and simple.

When will ISIS attack China?? Right before they feel the need to escalate their military presence somewhere else. However, executing their workers managed to get he Chinese to send some people into Syria. I wonder what became of that??

Whatever ISIS was as of a few years ago, its not nearly what people think it is today. Our rivals learned the formulas of the West, and co-opted them to use against us. It was a rather clever play if you ask me. Russian, Chinese, Turkish, Saudi, Iranian, Israeli, British, German, Australian, American and many more intelligence agencies can now easily attack their rival governments with their own assets, and simply go online, pretend to be ISIS, and they get all the heat.

This is why our current events is so focused on them in media. If they are guilty of everything, then domestic and rival governments alike are not only free to escape from suspicion, but will also gain the sympathy and backing from their people and use that emotional turmoil to pass whatever they want in the form of legislation or military action.

I had this theory for awhile, but when I noticed the Israeli's insist with near certainty that the recent attacks on their police was wholly unrelated to ISIS after they had already made that claim online pretty much summed it up. It is not like they are trying to downplay terrorism in their midst, they use it to high hell everyday to justify some of the things they do. Even Hamas was dismissed after they tried to claim the attack.

Whatever though, this is just the way the world works. Makes for some interesting documentation of the conflict though.

You're confusing Captain America and Hydra with G.I. Joe and COBRA

Yes, just like in 1984, the fake terrorist that was responsible for all of the world's problems. what was his name?

Then we have Osama bin Laden, who was most likely dead before or around 9/11. Of course he was "kept alive" always there in the background ready to be used as the excuse at any time.

And then we evolved into Al Queda and this gave the global chess player's a "legitimate" army to play with.

And finally, we have ISIS, the perfect beast.
Once the ISIS machine has done it's job we will move onto the final "weapon": Climate Change.
Once Climate change is officially released with all of the droughts, monsoons and nuclear detonated earthquakes causing tidal waves, well at that point - at this point - this is when the fake-ass aliens show up and we join into a kumbaya one world government and switch to a new hieroglyphic non spoken language and everyone just sods off in their own direction.

As far as I know, thats it. Whenever they are needed to invite the world's violence into a region, the affiliates who allegedly declare their loyalty are assimilated like the borg. There is only daesh left over.

For instance, if IS had been around for 9/11, the Taliban would he stopped existing once we crossed into the border. They would have only become Islamic State/daesh. Thats what is happening all over the world. Militants just keep declaring loyalty to IS, and then they cease to exist when coalition forces go after them.

Boko Haram and Al-Shabab still have their names in Nigeria and Somalia because we are not as invested in those areas yet. Once that threshold is crossed, they will only be IS, like the militants in Philippines. The news has already mostly stopped using the original militants names, probably because Malaysia, Indonesia and the USA are now inside of Philippines combating IS.

Have you seen the French action/comedy movie called 'Taxi?' There's a scene where the idiot police commissioner is thinking of names for the specialist police task force. He runs through all the lone killer beasts he can think of...

"VIPER!" He strikes with outstretched fingers.
"No Sir, this is used by Germans."
"SCORPION!" He crouches and kicks.
"The Italians have it!"
"TIGER!" He growls.
"No sir...the Indians."
"MONGOOSE!"
"They're too cute, sir."
"COBRA!"
They all cheer and high five.

This is how I think they come up with the names of their task forces. I laughed out loud when the UK government announced the name of our anti-terrorist task force - COBRA/COBR.

On topic. There's a wise old saying about history being the battle between the sword and the shield - warfare versus defence. The US-led West has created a tool-kit for dominating other nations and regions. We've subverted the neighbours of our enemies/rivals to create the conditions we want in the target nation. Blown up civilians and upturned democratic results that went against our interests. We've backed up dictators in the face of popular consensus and manipulated media to influence local cultures. We've trained the Mujahideen and armed diverse groups across the Americas and specifically the ME. It goes on...

What's notable is the amount of literature we've produced. CIA manuals, military manuals and, of course, leading by example. It's no surprise at all to find that groups with equal intelligence have been able to read Western How-To texts and act them out.

Before some dimwit says I'm 'blaming the West' and it's 'Islam's fault,' it's NOT my point. The point is ISIS could have become what they are simply by accessing the available information, utilising local resources and tapping the very deep resentments against the West.

Hollywood often reveals the Truth in their movies (not for posterity though). Just look at Iron Man 3 and the use of the Mandarin, it shows you the truth of Osama Bin Laden and 9/11.

This is true and I agree, to an extent. IS is no longer in control of its own destiny though. It has been co-opted by both sides of the ages old East/West paradigm conflict.
There is actual IS, there are the lone wolf imitators who act without coordination, but give IS credit anyways. Then there are state actions by different governments against another government, or internally that will give IS the credit to fulfill an agenda.

As I mentioned in the OP, this is occurring all across the board now. Russia started doing it in 2015 too. Pretty much all the gulf states re doing it now too.

That is not to say the respective governments intelligence agencies are unaware of what actually is happening. All parties are likely very fully aware of what is going down. I just believe that there is some unofficial agreement between the world powers that it is for the best that the public have one specific lightning rod to concentrate all that anger, fear and hatred towards. It streamlines operations and keeps it easy to maintain the logistics of the global economy while they are all actually fighting each other.

I agree with you on this. It's a plus and a negative in one with 'lone wolf imitators' being very hard to identify yet also being untrained and lacking resources. ISIS play the media at their own game by constantly providing column inches. It sells papers/site clicks and suits the agendas of media marketing and brand presence.

The 'State actions' thing is getting to be so murky that I believe they'll be forced into honesty in the near future. Yeah that sounds like a stupid thing for me to say. Right now nobody knows if the Russians have involved themselves with Western elections or whether Western Intel groups have created the myth using Russian-looking malware and hacks. The plausible deniability trope has begun to usurp reality and now nobody can really believe or trust in their national Intelligence agencies. (it's a thread in itself so enough on that)

Maybe. Could be. From where I stand the public is pretty good at picking its own lightning rod. Suggestibility levels are higher than I've ever noticed before so who knows?
