The only 'gospel' to 'minister' (according to Jesus) is to be unconditional Love!
Jesus's message wasn't about vain 'beliefs', it is about a state of being, unconditional Love/Enlightenment.
One needn't go pushing 'beliefs' like drugs (that isn't what Jesus sold); shining the Light of Love, people will come to you!

True, unconditional Love is ALWAYS Known by It's unconditional Virtues; Compassion, Empathy, Sympathy, Gratitude, Humility, Charity (charity is never taking more than your share of anything, ever!), Honesty, Happiness, Faith...

I personally find noise to be an obstruction to experiencing stillness in meditation. Noise seems to entertain the higher mind which I guess is something different again (good or bad, I don't know).

I know what you mean about distractions.
With practice, distractions will fade...
