The love thread

Hi ATS,

I am a new member here, but have been living amongst you in the real world for 37 years. Like you, I have seen tragedy, been down some dark roads, made my share of mistakes, been in love, desired things I didn't/couldn't have, participated in society, triumphed and failed. Like you, I have my own opinions, whether it be political, social, religious etc.

I want all of you to know that I appreciate your perspective and ideas, even if (and sometimes because) they do not match my own. I have a lot of love for my fellow man and am grateful for my experience here on earth.

I urge you to meet ideas you deem to be offensive not in kind but kindly, or in the very least, with concern, the very way you would like to be received when you err.

Please use this thread as a forum for love and gratitude. I am very curious to hear about what you are grateful for and to hear what you love about your fellow man.

My son marked the first baby to be born in my family for 31 years.. I know that was a huge source of joy for my aging parents.

Nothing sweeter than seeing my boy cuddle up with his gram.

Another 37 year old newer member here myself, though I did my silent lurking and learning for a few years off and on. I've grown to love ATS and really enjoy the learning and laughter. My skin is thick and my unquenchable thirst for truth is strong. I love ALL my brothers and sisters worldwide, and thank you all for contributing to my favorite stop on the vast info/disinfo highway. I seem to recognize the artist on the first post you made as a piece I saw in Italy. Is that a Bosch?

I thought I'd stop by your thread and feel some love for a bit and, hopefully, share some back.

I am grateful for the opportunity I've been given to not only do the best job I can at raising my daughters to be good humans but, the absolute joy I receive from being part of their lives.
I am grateful for the memories I have of my family.
I am grateful for the lessons learned, although painful, as they were necessary.

I love that we are all so different in thoughts, ideas and beliefs.
I love the many colors of the spectrum.
I love when we can try to be kind and unselfish.
I love that tomorrow, I may get the chance to do it better.
