Kanye delivered another rant Saturday during the Sacramento concert and politics are involved. Both the politics of the presidential election and politics of the music industry. He arrived late, performed three songs, then launched into the rant.

The 39-year-old singer warned the audience he was on his "Trump ... tonight", telling them "Facebook lied to you". "It's a new world, Hillary Clinton, it's a new world," he said.

That could have been but the preface before he segued to his real target: Beyoncé. Kanye heard she wouldn't perform for the Clinton fundraiser unless assured she'd win Video Of The Year. Beyoncé and Jay Z were two of the heavy hitter entertainers the Clinton campaign brought in during the waning days of the campaign.

The rant is reported to have lasted 30 min. after which he did the mic drop and walked off stage. (I think the three songs plus rant lasted 30 mins.) Sunday's L.A. concert scheduled for the following night was cancelled.

The article reports it was the second time that week Kanye went Trump.

West had angered fans at a previous show in San Jose, after announcing he "would have voted on Trump" , and saying "black people should talk less about race".

Yahoo! UK article

Found the rant on YouTube.
Off the rails. He even brought Google, Zuckerberg, Obama, aliens, radio, and race into it. As usual, language warning.

Free speech right? Just shutup and sing.

Its just like the actors in that play. People did not pay good $$ to hear your political bs they paid to hear you sing or watch a damm play.

Most likely to get a break from the political bs

So shut up and sing.

I can honestly say I wouldn't know a Kanye song if I heard it, either. Back when I was "rocking out" musicians tied political statements to lyrics so even if you disagreed, you still had the melody to enjoy.

Might it be that he is a bit mentally ill, schizophrenic?
Ok, would happen to everybody that marries into such a family like the crashdashkians...

Who cares what any celebrity says about politics?

Half or more of any US news has to do with a celeb having a conniption fit over him.

Yep seems Kanye has had a meltdown , seems he's cancelled the rest of the tour as well.

I'm not a fan but hope he gets the help he needs.

I thought this statement about JayZ was really weird:

"I've been sent here to give y'all my truth even at the risk of my own life, even at the risk of my own success, my own career. I've been sent here to give y'all the truth. Jay Z—call me, bruh. You still ain't called me. Jay Z, call me, Jay Z; I know you got killers. Please don't send them at my head. Just call me. Talk to me like a man."

www.eonline.com...

What did he mean he's been sent to give his truth at the risk of his own life? What did he mean that JayZ has killers? What did he mean when he asked JayZ not to send the killers to his head?

I don't keep up with this type of thing concerning these entertainment types, but something is happening to this young man and I wonder where his so-called friends are.

I think he might be losing it. Now he is hospitalized under observation.

Maybe it is all tied in to Kim getting robbed,

Kanye West was under observation at a Los Angeles area hospital late Monday after the remaining dates of his national tour were abruptly canceled, multiple authorities familiar with the case told NBC News.

The admission followed a week of bizarre incidents during which the provocative rapper publicly railed against fellow music stars Beyoncé and Jay Z and retroactively endorsed President-elect Donald Trump.

A source familiar with the case said Los Angeles police responded to a medical welfare call about 1:20 p.m. (4:20 p.m. ET). No criminal activity was involved; the decision to hospitalize West was for his own health and safety, the sources said.

West's concert promoter, Live Nation, said earlier in the day that the remaining dates of his Saint Pablo Tour had been called off. No reason was given.

A representative for West didn't immediately respond to NBC News' request for comment.

Do you think that Kanye thinks JayZ had something to do with Kim getting robbed? Do you think that's what he meant when he said he knows JayZ has killers?

The whole Kim robbery thing seemed real suspicious. Maybe it was Jay-z sending a message. Kim had stopped using social media since (which is unheard of) and now Kanye is losing it worried about Jay-Z.

Probably a reference of the rap/hip-hop murders of the 90s. Or, are they still going on? Doesn't West just sound paranoid? When he doesn't win something, it must be a conspiracy against him because he is after all, the greatest of greats.

I don't listen to that genre of music but it seems to be a play with interchangeable actors. We'll just need to buy their music to find out what's it is all about!

I thought that was interesting to. As much Illumainti talk that goes on around him if he was in it I think we just saw his resignation letter. Being hospitalized right after was a bit suspicious as well. I think he might be getting setup.

I watched a 10 minute video exerpt/clip of the rant. I also saw a 17 minute version but didn't have time to watch it. but what I saw, was kanye the most sane ive ever seen him since his meteoric, undeserved rise to fame.
Kanye before: Im god/jesus/whatever
Kanye that night of the rant: Nobody is better than anyone, Im not better than any of you (something along these lines)

Its pretty obvious that not all is well between he and Jay Z, when Jay and Bey, enthusiastically gave support to Hitlary, and Kanye is now basically saying "trump good, Hillary bad". I don't know when Kanye started voicing support for Trump, publically, but maybe he voiced those opinions to his inner circle, like JayZ, before, like around the time of the robbery...? Maybe the robbery was a warning, like "hey, you better get with the program, before someone gets hurt"

He did definitely speak some truth during that rant, although in his typical Kanye style... He explained how the mainstream media lied to everyone by making them believe Hillary was gonna win, as well as social media and online entities, specifically he named Google and Facebook as lying to the people.

Like I said, I think he was more sane than Ive ever seen him since he became mega famous. The people who gave him his stardom are not good friends with "the truth", unless it happens to advance their agenda. There are probably some people who feel he owes them for making him a star, and that he should just be a good little boy and do as hes told.

Kanye supporting Trump and bashing Hillary and basically the establishment... Wow I must say I was never expecting that. Also basically admitting that hes in fear of his life from JayZ! This is freakin crazy man.... Maybe he did that rant in case something happens to him, people might look deeper into it. But he seems to have a problem with articulating ideas without sounding a little crazy...

The establishment has already drug out one of their minions, Snoop Dogg, to belittle and poke fun at Kanye and his rant... Snoop made several videos about it. Snoop knows where the hand that feeds him is, and he does his job and stays out of trouble. Hes gonna get some bonus points for this. All the people who look up to snoop will just say "lol kanye lost it, hes nuts, hes on something..."

Im not a fan of Kanyes music, except for his breakout song, "Through the Wire", which was recorded before his fame, and I seem to like the song "Monster", a collaboration between Kanye, JayZ and Nikki Minaj and maybe someone else...Rick Ross? Not sure... Im also not a fan of the man himself, he has made some very arrogant and disgusting remarks and has been way out of touch with reality. But, people can change, and maybe that is what is happening. Or maybe he will be threatened well enough to where he gets back in line.

It realllly reminds me though, of a couple of parts of the book The Iron Heel by Jack London! Its definitely a must read for any ATSer. Reminiscent of 1984. I won't spoil it here, but there is a part that discusses how people who go against the system are first temporarily hospitalized as a warning, and then if they still don't listen, they are put in an insane asylum for an unspecified amount of time, perhaps for life, and they are also financially ruined, and their reputation ruined. Wonderful book even if you aren't a socialist. (jack London was and his socialist views are prominently on display in this book, but you also have to look at the fact it was written around 1918! Plus, the book doesn't force you to learn anything about socialism. I still, after reading it, don't know much about socialism... You could easily read the book, and replace every occurance of the word "socialists" with "anarchists" or "revolutionaries" or "freedom fighters" or any other number of things. It has one little part where the main character explains why capitalism is doomed to fail, but that is all)
