Let's take a departure from the political mudslinging and laugh for a moment about this tumultuous time in which we live..

And let's agree on the following:
Tom Hanks is a national treasure...

His SNL character on this skit was so very funny on so very many levels…

In fact, it was genius...

Hanks' character nailed it. That was hysterical.

Truth in comedy; comedy in truth. Hanks was wonderful in that skit, but then he's always wonderful.

Hanks makes life look easy. National Treasure ... hmm, maybe you're right about that.

I saw him on Broadway in Lucky Guy...
Hanks came out at the stage door to a mob(which is unusual for most shows)..

He signed every autograph and even had a conversation with me and his costar Peter Scolari about the bosom buddies intro...
I asked about the tennis ball catch scolari made behind his back and Hanks told my wife and I it took 12 takes for Peter to catch it...he was ribbing Peter and it was hilarious...

In the midst of a mob he [and peter] laughed with us, a couple of nobodies,
for a minute or two...
And he did this with almost every person in line...

My wife and I've attended hundreds of shows on Broadway and seen [almost] every tony nominated play and musical since 2003 followed by waiting at the stage door to meet the stars(which is a uniquely Broadway activity and I can't recommend it highly enough)...
Anyhow, Mr hanks was as nice and wonderful on stage as he is off stage..

We were ecstatic because we wanted so bad for him to be as wonderful as he appears...and he was..

I've loved anything I've seen that he's been part of. Thank you for confirming that he really is as generous as he seems
Now I'm a fan-girl for life, lol!

He was an impossibly brilliant actor live as well...
It was really weird because for the first 10 or 15 seconds I was watching them on stage he was Tom Hanks…
Then, just like that, hanks changed into a character who was a completely different human…
It was inexplicable…
He is a true artist of unparalleled brilliance and could not of been a nicer guy in real life...
