I am the proud and approved possessor of a GORGEOUS 2 bedroom, 1st floor apartment, about 5 minutes away. 1 block outside of the village I live in, but in a suburb town. All hardwood floors, so well restored the shine will blind you. THREE entrances. Front, back and one onto the private patio. There is also a good sized back stoop besides the patio.

It has this very cool retro/restored kitchen, cooktop built into the counter and oven built into the wall. Have never had that. Lots of cupboard space. Massive wrap around counter with breakfast bar. Small dining area. The kitchen floor is not so big that I would cry before washing it though. The bedrooms and closets are a reasonable size. Large coat closet.

All new paint. Updated bathroom. Built in linen drawers and cabinet in hallway. New windows. Basement storage. The dryers are coin op, the washers are free.
Plentiful free off street parking. Intercom security building. No extra charge for my cats. There are only 3 other units in this property in a residential neighborhood of single family homes.

Gas heat and water is included....in Buffalo in winter, that is a MUST.

1 block from the largest main buslline in my area which runs every 20-25 min 7am-7pm,hourly until about midnight.

For those who live in larger cities, I will not mention the rent as you may weep.

This is neither of the apartment in the thread 'picking between 2 apartments'. One had a creepy landlord, the other had a property manager who unwittingly accepted someone he doesn't want, who applied before. That property manager gave me a reference and returned my application fee, which already arrived in the mail. The creepy landlord returned the large deposit I left.

I AM TRULY BLESSED!!!!!!

Sounds pretty much exactly like the house in the city I'm trying to get rid of- although I do have to snow blow and do the yard work- and pay the heat bill. Looking to move somewhere without a local town government so I can avoid lame city taxes, like the rain bill I keep forgetting to pay...

To be fair, you're paying the heat bill too- as well as the mortgage, and the maintenance... it's just wrapped up into a flat payment.
Rent is a bigger scam than a mortgage- and that's saying something!

I suppose if you're happy, though, that's all that matters. Enjoy, and congrats!

Ugh, I'd hate to live in an apartment in the middle of a city!

Nature and countryside for the win!

I'm happy for you though, Im glad you found what you were looking for!

I've got an 80's bolens with a single stage-
what a great machine. They just don't make them like they used to.

TY!! There is no possible way in this area those things are wrapped up in the flat payment. Maybe a portion, but definitely not all.

This is a town in a residential neighborhood. Definitely not countryside, but not city living.

I used to like using my snow blower. Then it died and I started paying a company. UGGh. Lol, you keep your heating bill haha.

Sounds like you're going to enjoy it.

Not my style though. I'll keep my mower and 5 acres in the middle of nowhere...

My summer electric will still be higher. Just not as high as in a 3 story house. This one does not have central a/c.

If I had my choice, that is what I would take. At least I am not in the inner city and I can get to work easily.
