He may have forgotten about the posts, but there is no way he forgot that 'they' wanted the email archive tampered with.

Did he tell that to the FBI? That it wasn't a lone-action and instead it was a conspiracy to tamper with evidence and obstruct justice?

I think the FBI could get caught up in this conspiracy.

It's getting harder and harder for the MSM to put off reporting on it.

According to Committee chairman Jason Chaffetz, the following email exchange occurred between Combetta and another undisclosed Platte River Network staff member back on 8/19/15:

“Wondering how we can sneak an email in now, after the fact, asking them [the Clinton camp] when they told us to cut the backups and have them confirm it for our records. Starting to think this whole thing is really covering up some shady #. I just think if we have it in writing that they told us to cut the backups then we can go public with our statement saying we’ve had the backup since day one when we were told to trim to 30 days would make us look a whole lot better.”

Wow. And the DOJ and FBI don't do anything with this...

That may be the biggest scandal of all if we ever find out 'why'!! Thank god for Chaffetz and Gowdy! I hope they can take this all the way to the fat lady.

Looks like you're correct - Multiple People @ Platte River are involved - this makes the cover up that much harder...

It's not surprising the DOJ tried to cover this up given Obama has turned it into a political arm for himself & HRC. I had hoped the FBI was above this...

If he comes forward Combetta could come out of this a legend - this would go down as one of the all time conspiracies... books, movies there's no telling. Amazing what asking a question on Reddit could turn into.

So can anyone find the emails that he is looking to change? Or are they already uncovered?

Unknown - it may be part of this recent (link below) group - it may be some already released - it may be some we've yet to see - it may be all of the above.

I assume these are the emails given to Hillary's attorneys and deleted by them.

Maybe Combetta did manage to tamper with the VIP's email address, in the archive, but when her attorneys reviewed them, they found it was obvious that Hillary was contributing to email chains even though her address was not listed in the chain?

So they just deleted them because it would be impossible to clean them up.

This is what makes the most sense to me in context of the timeline:

July 2014:

• Mills initiates review of any Hillary work emails with .gov addresses that were transferred from Pagliano server to PRN (Platte River) server.

• The emails don’t include the Jan-March 2009 emails lost on the missing Apple server.

• The .gov work emails are put in a file on laptops of Mills and Hillary attorney Heather Samuelson.

• These laptop email files would later be wiped using BleachBit so they could never be recovered. The FBI was unable to review them.

Once he found out that they couldn't make the changes he wanted, they bleachbitted the archive.

I don't know how much more blatant the conspiracy to obstruct could be and not have multiple people become guests of the federal government.

The devil is in the details as they say.

So, could this be the reason Barack Obama never appointed that pesky oversight position of Inspector General? An IG would have found it, realized this was improper, and kept a closer eye on the State Dept. Maybe that $6,000,000,000 that went missing (or "unaccounted for") would not be where it is today.
