I hope I'm in the right place, if not then please shift to the correct forum, I thank you

Jeremy Corbyn

Jeremy Corbyn, he’s the one for me,
JC, Leader of the Labour Party,
I have no choice but to vote this man,
As I believe he can save us in this troubled land,
A change is needed from the status quo,
As the Blairites and the Tories are ruthless and above law,
Without this change it all stays the same,
No money for the old, the ill, the poor, or the lame,
Now all get behind him as he needs you,
Because the right side of Labour are actually blue,
Now’s the chance to really come clean,
Now’s the time to stop the war machine,
A real chance to start looking after our own,
A great opportunity to stop the drone,
They say he’s unelectable, how wrong can they be,
He’s anti fracking and pro renewable energy,
He’s the most electable man I’ve ever seen in my life,
And I’m right behind him…but without the knife,
The others have shown their true colours and all support war,
I’m with Jeremy on this…and want it no more,
Jeremy Corbyn, he’s the one for me,
JC, Leader of the Labour Party

I enjoyed that!

I had Goldie Looking Chain in my mind as I read it.

It's the line, 'JC. Leader of the Labour Party." The syllables match the standard Hiphop line; I think that's what did it.

Nice poem...it's a pity that he lacks charisma, which seems to be a major vote winner.

I like that he is 'old' labour, and his values are more in tune with what people really need.

Erm...I don't think he lacks anything at all

He is humble, genuine, honest and has tons of integrity, he can't be bought either
Just because he doesn't behave like the rest of them, which I think their behaviour is quite appalling and wouldn't be accepted in a school playground

I don't understand the mentality of people, just because he doesn't use slight of hand with jazz hands like the rest ...he's no good!

Why can't people just embrace all he has to offer and not fall for the media image of him...jeez, i'd rather his style anyday to what we have had for the last 40 years...

I use the word Change in the poem for a reason

The fact you repeated a big media misnomer, the man has lots of charisma and is so electable ...but I'm sure someone will repeat that one soon too

Don't take it to heart dear friend, I will defend is character until not needed

Also, if The Labour Party could offer someone else with his policies, which they can't or won't, then we wouldn't have this problem but they offer an ex Pfizer's lobbyist as his opponent in the leadership ...oh dear oh dear

I don't understand, why would I take anything to heart? You don't have to defend his character to me.

Anyway...I enjoyed the poem.

"Nice poem...it's a pity that he lacks charisma, which seems to be a major vote winner"

No big deal here but just to clear this up, in your 1st response you never mentioned "fickle populace" you just said that he lacked charisma which you believe he needed to be voted, now if you had put that in your 1st reply you would not of got an "erm" ...k?

It was copy and pasted from an online poetry site that adds the copyright to any posted poem, sorry (for you) if that offended you and you felt the need to criticise the copyright and not the poem

Hey, I wonder if you lose that copyright once it is posted on here. That's pretty good if a site does that for you. I never post anything here that I want to keep for myself. Not saying that it is any good but for some reason or other I don't want to lose ownership of it.
