I for one think election polls are not worth the paper they are printed on, but what do I know?

Cnn has trump in the lead.
www.cnn.com...

"Trump tops Clinton 45% to 43% in the new survey, with Libertarian Gary Johnson standing at 7% among likely voters in this poll and the Green Party's Jill Stein at just 2%."

November should be pretty interesting.
Maybe the debates will separate the candidates if hillary doesn't cough up a lung in the middle.

Trump has been reading what he's told off a teleprompter for the most part which has cut way back on the number of dumb things he speaks into a microphone.

Reublicans are falling in line predictably with I believe it was up to 90% of GOP likely voters now saying they'll vote for Trump in one of the recent polls.

The never ending email "scandal" has been in the news a lot the last couple weeks.

The first debate (or what are they calling it this election? A "forum?") is in 19 days. That should push the numbers to one or the other more drastically.

I thought CNN was the mouthpiece for Clinton though? Clinton News Network, right?

Anyway... why should anyone give two # what the mainstream media and television has to say?

Debates will not help her at all. She is not good at all going off script. I have seen her several times get confronted with a hard question and she never answers the question. Just talks nonsense and changes the subject or says she does not recall or refuses to answer the question. That is not going to work at this stage. It was funny at first but it's not cute anymore.

The LA times have them at a tie.

NBC has clinton leading by 4 and 6 respectively.

I'd be surprised if Hillary can actually stand at a podium for 30 minutes, much less articulate coherent answers.

She is still leading using the median of all the polls but she is really tanking. She was at about 88% chance of winning last month. She has since dropped 20%. Not a good sign at all with more stuff still floating out there. Trump has also perfected his rallies. Getting the right people onboard and running circles around her campaign.

Don't worry Clintonistas ... CNN still says she's winning in the battlegrounds!
/sarc

So what difference at this point does it make?

if CNN has trump up by 2 points it must be more than two points. Remember, this is the Clinton News Network. they must be panicking now, because there is nothing that Hillary can do to increase her acceptance. the presidency is now Trump's to lose.

He's still down by a lot in electoral college votes. Needs to turn 5 states. It's doable but it will not be easy.

Has anyone else noticed that the polls are always neck and neck for the rest of this stretch? Ever since Nixon and Kennedy, at least. Like a horserace that looks like it will be a photofinish.

Sure drums up the newspaper sales and the click-bait, though.

If one of the candidates was a landslide candidate, this wouldn't be nearly so exciting!

Is the 'socialist' starting to look good to anyone, now?

He is also up 20 with independants. 49%-29%

50%-35% for trustworthiness.

I have heard people say she's got the electoral college sewn up and the vote is meaningless..

does anyone know the specifics on this? can they elaborate?

If trump blitzes the vote yet Clinton still gets elected by some technicality from the elite.. people will revolt.

Didn't happen in 2000 with Bush and Al Gore.

They should really scrap that electoral college crap. It's a holdover from America's early days when there were only 13 states and an electoral roll of about 100.

That might have been from the Soros quote.

He said trump would win the popular vote but Hilary would win electoral college.
