Just makes it look like he's tilting his head. Very nice pen/pencil work!

I just figured you were doing it to add character. I don't think its off center at all.

If I send you a picture of me and my wife, would you do a portrait of us? I would gladly paypal you for your time.

Thank you for the feedback! As for the offer to draw you and your wife, keep in mind I've never done this sort of thing before (draw for money). I do encourage you to send me the picture (high quality preferred for detailed reference) and I will decide then (some faces and facial features I find more challenging then others and I wouldn't want to bite off more then I can chew)

nice pic, but, its a floating head and you need to use a clean peice of paper to rest your hand on.
what pencil did you use?

The brand is called "Raffine". The pencils came in a little kit with a putty eraser, some paper stubs, a block eraser, a knife, and I think one or two other things.

you should try using a mechanical pencil, theyre much better for these kind of pics.

Based on the rest of the shadowing, I would expect the shadow under the nose to be shorter or more under the right nostril (our right), no?

Nice work!

I took this picture with the drawing on my desk. And the desk light is on the left side, just outside of view in the picture in the OP. The lighting isn't part of the picture that's just the desk light. This is the Reference Picture I used tho, So I'm just going off that.
