Well, isn't that interesting how the polls seemed to be all over the place.

What to believe....

I'll just have to share my experience that I left the party in June 2008, did not vote for Obama, and I don't support Hillary now.

And I was a lifelong Democrat.

ETA: And even the poll you found shows more Bernie supporters are going to be voting for Hillary than Hillary supporters who voted for Obama.

If Bernie supporters don't like the way the DNC conducts their elections, then why should they support the party?

If they want to take their votes elsewhere, i think that's great and far more mature than toeing the line for a party they don't support.

Me either so we at least agree on that!

They're getting the same treatment that was dished out after Obama won. I knew the left would spike the football pretty hard based on their attitude leading up to that election, but I figured they'd settle down and be fairly satisfied after a while and things would pretty quickly get back to normal.

But they never let it go.

They've been angry ever since.

And they're pouring that out on Bernie supporters. They've forgotten how to win gracefully ... assuming they ever knew how.

Some might say they are giving the progressive wing of the Democratic Party a taste of their own medicine. Not that it's a mature way to go. But the racebaiting was and still is pretty infuriating.

WHAT ?

Your telling me those Bernie DNC delegates that walked out were Trump shills ?

at the DEMOCRATIC national convention, they could walk out....at the Republican national convention, they were bullied and threatened to stay in their seats, and tow the line for trump

However you want to look at it. A taste of their own medicine might open some eyes. It's all fun and games until you're the one being bullied.

let's remember that Bernie isn't even a democrat, he's an independent socialist. and as independents socialists go, they are mostly pissed off at both parties. so their anger and frustration over losing is normal.....but they got a hell of a lot of media play, courtesy of the democrats....but...even with that, they want the 3+million more actual democratic Hillary voters, to have their votes not count....and the right-wing now has no way to call all democrats "socialists", if one cannot be chosen at the DNC....

Don't discourage them from voting . Do you think republicans are even going to consider Bernies ideas?
Not a bit.

Not a bit.

Welcome to the real world. Neither party cares about you.

A lot was included in the democratic platform. Given the support those ideas will become laws. You might be surprised what can be accomplished when many people share the same ideas.

PS no need to welcome me to the world. I've welcomed 59 summers already. I'm not a naive new comer.

As I said in another comment: Bernie's big-spending domestic policies + Hillary & the DNC's record of supporting corruption is NOT a good mix.

Corruption & Big Spending plans....hmmm...that's a no, for me.

The Democrat platform will change to be Hillary's platform. It's meaningless. How much of Obama's platform was pursued? If you think the public platform has any meaning you are still in the dark.

Your world, where party platforms have meaning, and the real world where they do not are not the same place. It would be nice if the real world was your world, sadly it is not.

In 2012, Barney Frank, then in his last year in Congress, helped write the Democratic national platform. At least he thinks he did.

“I don’t remember what was in it,” says Frank, who was a member of the platform committee at that year’s Democratic National Convention, “and it wasn’t a very interesting tour of duty.” Describing the platform as the “Miss Congeniality of the convention process,” the former Massachusetts representative says everything besides the nomination of the president and the vice president is just this “Model U.N. kind of stuff.”

AND, on this note...did any Bernie supporters watch the Congressional Judicial Oversight Committee hearing with James Comey?

If you did, what you saw were Democrats that had no interest in actual OVERSIGHT. When confronted with the jobs they had, they managed to use their opportunities to ask oversight-related questions as opportunities to bash republicans and raise issues pertaining to entirely unrelated agendas.

It cannot be argued that Democrats charged with Congressional Spending Oversight will actually call their own members into question.

Give them big money to spend...and they will not only misappropriate it, but they will cover their own butts when confronted with possible corruption.

Please, Bernie fans...take your revolution to the Green Party or somewhere other than one of the two-parties!

Probably because they are the only individuals in America who seem to give a god damn about the place, and if there is one thing centrist Democrat power players and everyone to the right of them hate, it's being shown up for the lying, backstabbing, comfort obsessed charlatans that they are.
