USA nothing without Hollywood and Media

Have you seen any hollywood movie......If you have then u have to believe how great they are......their President always the Ideal Human being (with no Monicas) Ideal father and Ideal Leader
There are some fixed nations which are always bad ...above all Russia (this proves how much they fear Russia) followed Germany ,Iraq and North Korea
and US is never bad .....they the messangers of Peace brotherlyhood blah blah blah ......let them make a film on Hirosima Nagasaki they will easyly prove how much great were americans there.

well , what i wanted to say that control over Media is the greatest weapon USA has ......Its not its nukes , Economy etc

when i go through the US news paper I read about racism in Russia...but believe me racist problem in Russia is nothing compared to the racist prob i faced in USA as a black......this racist prob is just an example .....they can prove any thing false to be true via their media ...let it be how much bad Soviet Union was or how bad Putin is.....

With most of their achivements being shot in studios US has only one great contribution in the Human civilisation- Control over media

I remeber talking to a neighbor, who was a skinhead, who smiled as he happily told me about how many Russians do not like blacks in their country, and how Russian skinheads are know to stalk foreigners and beat them into bloody pulps. I know alot of Russians, many who say theyd rather kill their own kids than see tham married to blacks.

But being black, you arent nearly as endangered if you were a Jew. I remeber a friend of mine who was in the Ukraine, hearing on the news over there, about the rash of synogouge bombings, and anti Jewish posters stuck on walls, which if removed, blew up in the face of the person removing them.

Youll find nationalism in Russia on the rise, and with it, increased attacks against foreigners. You simply have to wait a while for them to come for you.

Youre obviously pretty ignorant of alot of things, so Ill leave you to wallow in it. I simply hope you watch yourself over there, and pay attention to your surroundings more, because I certainly would feel very bad if you let your guard down and ended up a victim, like alot of foreigners there do.

I am a person of Indian origin with a Russian Passport, my Mother is a Russian ,my father was an Indian . My brother is an American Citizen and is presently working as a research assistant in Drexel University Phiadelphia ,
last June I was invited by my brother to USA.
I started to face racist probs from the first day of my visit the police would always look at me with suspision (I came to know from my brother that blacks are gernrally involved in various crimes so generally they are suspected),.......I did not get euqal response which my Russian Girlfriend got there (ofcourse she is white skinned)
I came to know there is certain names applicable to my Race ...namely 1 black monkeys 2 'n-word's 3 cyber collie 4 deshi .......
and the general assmuption of the US citizens were I am a person who is llien to this world .
I was Invited to a professor's house in Philadelphia who came to know about my research work about Vaccine .but as soon as he saw me and came to know that I am a black skinned all my achievements as a researcher became secondary .

in US when u ask ur friend "how is life" u get diplomatic answers like "trying to servive"


yes there are probs in Russia too but still its far better than the US here we have a group of racists called Skinheads (I came to know from my brother that there are skin heads in US too ) but they are just a group of hooligans allof from the general pepulation ....a general Russian Citizen dosent have that discriminative attitude towards a black which a general US citizen has.

Since you were brought up in Russia you may understand my viewpoint on this. The US and the Russian media are both heavily influenced by the govt and those in power. The main difference being, I think, the average Russian is well aware of the extent of the bias, where the average American is not. Of course there will always be some on both sides who want to believe what they are told.

As for the way Hollywood portrays the US, last time I checked that's what country it was in. It is geared, first and foremost, to American consumers so it is only natural that they be pro-American. Unless you are Michael Moore, demonizing America doesn't do good box office in the states.

We are all victims of someones cruelty or bias at some point but if we would ignore the idiots and stop making people like Jessie Jackson rich because of it we could start to do away with it. But that will never happen because too many people on both sides of the game have to much to gain.

I wouldn't say that the west prefers to pays second fiddle to America. In Canada, worrying about being taken over by American culture will soon replace our national sport. I think a lot of European countries have similar concerns, not just the east. The thing is, there are just so darn many of them. They are the ones with the spending power and the sheer numbers, to make their voice heard over everyone else’s.

And the US is not necessarily evil; they just see things from a different perspective. You see, to know how an American thinks, you have to be an American. It is all in the way they are brought up, taught in school and what they see on TV. That, and maybe something in the water.

The thing that people outside the US sometimes don't realize, is that while America does sometimes do silly things (but we all do), their heart is usually in the right spot. Take Iraq, for example. Most Americans truly believe that what they were doing was for the good of humanity, and yes, to save the world. While I may not agree with the way they went about it, or have asked them to do it, I do think they were sincere in their wish for a more secure world for everyone. If they were evil, they wouldn't care so much.

This of course is only my opinion.

No problem, I prefer a good discussion to a debate any day.

First, to make myself clear, yes, the rest of the West plays second fiddle to the US, but no, we do not prefer it. It is a matter that causes a few hurt feelings and insecurities among the other countries who don't have as much power and influence as they do.

On the internet, if you search google.com you will get mostly American links, because there are so many of them, and they have the money and resources to put them there. But if you search a regional google, such as Canada, England etc, you may get a different picture.

I have always thought that Russia was more of a socialist state than a communist one, but I may be wrong. A lot of conservatives call Canadians communists and socialist lefties, too.

As for Russia today, I think most people believe that you are better off today than you were before. At least now you have a chance to change the future and make your country an example of how the will of the people can really make a difference. Nobody thought the road to freedom in your country would be an easy one.

You're right, they are concerned about Russia's capabilities. But can you really blame them? In the last 50 years you are the only country that have been able to truly rival them, and make them work for it. You have political influence in South America and Cuba, very close to their border, and are finally digging your country out of the past. But instead of being insulted by this, why not try to feel complimented. This means that they recognize you as a force.

And Iraq? I think that the countries that went did so for one of a few reasons. First, because they really believed that there were WMD. Second, because they wanted to support America and make them feel less isolated than they were at the time. Third, related to the second, they thought that by supporting the US they would gain political favour and did it seeking payback in the future. Of course, there could be other reasons too. My country didn't, and there are people here that think we should have.

The President is not always the morale hero in the movies in the US. I would say a good deal of them are like that, but you obviously have not seen them all. Many depict the truth of the office as well as the corruption. You need to get a better understanding of the movies out there from Hollywood before making a statement like that. You also fail to realize made for tv movies that depict past presidents. The media within the USA does a pretty good job of bashing the presidents of the USA, and you don't even need to pay money to see that. Take a look a reality.

All nations are displayed as bad in Americas's media, with the exception of them of course. In movies we mostly see bad guys from Slavic nations such as Russia,Yugoslavia,Checkoslovakia.. Then we have the Arabs from Iraq,Syria.. Then we even have brits being displayed as bad guys and aussies too.

this has to be one of the best posts ever and it does highlight some serious discussion and debate.

I think the main reason is that Americans want to see American Heros. After all most American movies are made for the American market and you would expect them to be heaviliy biased. The only problem i have is the way Hollywood misportays History,for example the capture of U571 and the Enigma machine was a British operation but is portrayed in the film of the same name as an American effort.
But if films are made in America for an American audience they dont want to see Britts or Germans as the Hero, they want to see Americans as Heros. It is just entertainment after all.

They complain on Western Media, that Russia is going back to its old ways, and it is, thankfully.

With the help of Samaritan Swiss Bankers, Oligarchs manage to escape with considerable fortunes. This is also why the Siloviki isn't too fond of Switzerland.




Then, we enter New Millenium, and remaining Oligarchs still not understand what the rules are.

Oligarchs go all happy on Television, and all sorts of rumours abound, about intentions of selling Strategic Russian Companies (now in their private hands), to the nice friends in the West, the same that wanted to "help", with Free Market, and had so many advice.

Siloviki are remarkably quiet. But then everything unfolds. Oligarchs are not going to sell anything, because everything will be taken from them, by whatever means necessary. Masonic Shady Characters should know that they are little kids with snotty nose, when compared with the KGB old school.

Boris Berezovsky, the media magnate, now is reduced to making tv interviews with his Handycam.
