miscreants in bathrooms - its NOT new

it is my opinion that the " bathroom issue " has truely ` jumped teh shark `

ATS contributers are now dragging up tails from 3 years ago as ` evidence `

which is really just shooting thier entire case in the foot

there have ALWAYS been miscreants in bathrooms - of one stripe or another .

SO - please stop pretending that any clarification of transgendered rights is going to lead to anything more serious than transgendered people going to the toilet

as this current farce - however it ends is not actually going to increase or deacrese any REAL risk of any actual harm befalling people in toilets

i can dredge up annecdotes too - mine going back to the early 80s

mine involves male drug dealers frequenting the male toilets of the city centre of a large town in the UK , but the problem did concern parents - who would be loathe to allow thier male children to use certain toilets unaccompanied .

i has no reccolection of any similar problems in female tolets in the same area // timeframe

no sexual assaults were reported - but violent altracations were common .

if you want to be oposed to transgendered rights - go ahead and froth , but dont claim that its going to bring doom to the tolets

They were before...the only reason a big deal had to be made out of it because apparently some people just happened to notice 10 years later that people were doing it.

There is no actual proof or evidence to suggest that allowing Transgendered people to use whatever bathroom they want is going to lead to anything else but people relieving themselves comfortably.

Personally, I couldn't care less where one squats. Out houses being the precedent.....

The latest on the slippery slope is the case where 'ladies' must be removed as the name on a bathroom. Court ordered.

Great rant. It turns out that there's lots of evidence you're right. Transgendered people always chose which bathroom to use except where they couldn't because an authority figure knew their birth sex such as the workplace or school. A dozen or so states have included transgendered people in their anti-discrimination laws and specify that they can choose the bathroom they use... some states for several years now.

I can remember in the 80s/90s when public toilets had holes carved in the partitions by perverts. On the rare occasions of needing to use them, it'd be fairly common practice to block up any holes with tissue paper. We had a family holiday to Disney in Florida and it was the same there - early 90s.

Personally, I would have to assume (seeing as trans are NOT a new fad) that they have been doing their business in whichever restroom they damn well pleased for at least as long as I have been alive. I have never really heard of any issues until now...Why now?

How about you take a really deep look at global markets, why they are acting as they are, and how this will affect the people of the US (and nosey people too) when everything comes to fruition. All the while we are arguing about genitalia!! This world has gone insane! 2016 is gonna be a hell of a year!

Uhm, you do know those little round holes that used to be very occasionally found in male bathrooms were not holes for predators and voyeurs to look at kids and/or men don't you?

They weren't for peeking through to be a voyeur, they were for putting your penis through so that your agreed anonymous partner in the next cubicle could provide oral sex.

They tended to only be found in public bathrooms where there was a recognised gay cruising scene going on, so I'm very very surprised you found one at Disney. You'd think anybody who cut a hole in a Disney cubicle would be escorted out and the cleaners would find it within 24 hours and have it repaired.

So, the questions is, how many more people assaulted is worth .03% of the population being allowed to choose their own bathroom? How many more kids being choked in public restrooms is okay with you? 100? 1?
