Let me introduce myself..

.. i am stoneborn.

Some of you might have already seen me posting on a small number of threads. Often times i find it hard to engange in an already hot discussion and also i prefer to not to talk to idiots too much. You know, they kinda make me lose my faith in humanity.

I live in Europe and i'm 23 years old. People who haven't seen me always guess me older and they are pretty suprised when i tell them my age.

I lurked ATS for something like 3 or 4 years and just recently signed up to ask Tom DeLonge something but got no response. Even though i really liked my questions and still think they are interesting. (Maybe someone else knows something? If you like check out page 12 of the Tom DeLonge AMA thread.)

As a kid always wanted to become an astronaut (didn't we all?). Later on i got caught up by reality which told me that my eyes are too bad for any job i was really interested in. Guess you could say, i started hating the world when i was about six years old and my hate still grows stronger. Or is it really hate that i am feeling or is it the inability to make the world a better place? I guess both.

I remember the moment when i asked my dad how big outer space is. When he told me that it is endless... my brain... well, it kinda still can't handle it. I thought anything has to have borders but as i grew older i realized that you can almost never trivialize - anything.

I think a lot. About all kinds of stuff. Some examples: the history of our planet and species, daily happenings in the world and the backgrounds, space exploration, alien/UFO and a lot more. I stored so many thoughts and theories in my head so we could talk for hours while having some drinks

I am not religious. But i think there are certain powers or energies that can't be proven yet but they do exist. Paranormal stuff is really interesting but mostly (not all of it) #. In general i like to consider stuff or theories more than believing in them. If it can't be proven - it might exist anyway. If it seems proven - it still might be faked or just not the truth. Of course some stuff is true and it can't be argued. So please don't start talking about the flat earth theory... at least to me.

So IMO putting stuff into consideration may be the only thing a smart person can do when taking part in these forums. I am looking forward to contribute and get to know you all.

Welcome stoneborn! I too, wanted to be an astronaut. I had Air Force recruiting flyers on the walls of my bedroom among heavy metal posters. I was that serious.

I always wanted to go into space as a kid, i wished for a telescope on every birthday i had. But as poor as we were, i never got one. So i enjoyed watching the stars each night. Dont ever give up on that dream.

i am quite glad my thread didn't get hijacked by Scarlett Johansson... yet

also going to mars is not really my cup of tea. i would rather go to the ISS so i don't get too homesick

I'm new to ATS as well. Just signed up. That ask 'Tom Delonge thread' had me interested enough to read his book, Sekret Machines. The sample on Amazon was great. I had no idea previously who Tom Delonge was, but I read the book in two days. Still ruminating over the information given in fictional form.

You sound like an interesting person and I hope we can participate in more conversations!

I also started reading the free sample and gotta say the way it is written seems really appealing to me. he also seems to be quite honest. At least to a certain degree.
