The Point is, his speech should have been completely based on the Brussels Terrorist Attacks. He should NOT have been in a socialist country speaking to us about how great Cuba is. He should have flown to Washington to give the Speech, or Belgium. THAT is what a REAL President would have done. a reply to: 0zzymand0s

You may be confused, he's the President of the United States of America, and he's in Cuba on a diplomatic visit. Are you suggesting our diplomatic efforts should be thwarted by terrorist attacks on other nations?

I hope Trump wins so we can finally have a Cabinet that will consist of the most Brilliant negotiators in the World. We are 21 Trillion in debt and it is only a matter of time before the bubble bursts. According to the Pentagon, when that happens it will be a "Road Warrior" collapse. So we need Trump and Wall Street to Run things. Not Political Hacks. a reply to: OtherSideOfTheCoin

I am not looking for any Stars! I am venting my feelings, and letting others vent their disapprovement with the way Obama handled the situation. I think that deserves a few Stars. Thanks.a reply to: Thecakeisalie

Then elaborate! I can't just say I love cheese and end a post-I must say why I love cheese.

Obama was either bold or stupid when he made the visit and Castro was either bold or back peddling when it came to political prisoners. Do you have an opinion on either position or do you think your post deserves a few stars because you are peeved off just like everyone else? If that is the case then stars for everyone!

After many decades The US/Cuba relations are finally reopened and considering that both nations almost instigated nuclear annihilation that's a huge step forward.

I suppose we'll just have to agree to disagree. While I see some resemblance between Myanmar's military dictatorship and Cuba's, I see little similarity between the people of Myanmar and the people of Cuba, socially or economically.

You might be right, and that would be a tragic waste of potential. I just have a more optimistic view of the Cuban people.

I Am suggesting that, absolutely. Yes. We can't solve a problem without addressing the Situation. We can no longer sit back and ignore the problems that face us. It's time to Face Reality, and take the situation head on. We are the UNITED STATES.a reply to: dogstar23

I understand. There isn't anything wrong with that. We should be trying to strengthen relations wherever we can.

I just get upset with our current government. I mean Making a deal with Iran and giving them 150 Billion$$$? That is a Terrorist State. John Kerry said "I know that some of that money will be used for Terrorism".

I just believe that our Government is being controlled and influenced by people like Leftist Billionaire George Soros, something has to be going on because these deals are not right.

Here he is .....

Obama condemns Brussels attacks & addresses Cuban people - full speech

Published on Mar 22, 2016

During his historic visit to Cuba, US President Barack Obama delivers a speech from the Gran Teatro de la Havana, addressing the Cuban people directly and condemning today's attacks in Brussels (22 March).

Obama should not have been in Cuba to give this speech, that is an Insult. This shows, yet again he lacks the Leadership skills to be President of the most Powerful Military in the World. It was handled wrong.

Yes, because the president of the United States running out of a country to fly back to Washington, D.C. after a terror attack in Europe wouldn't panic anybody at all.

I always find it a very impressive demonstration of leadership when somebody hits the panic switch for no real reason.

You and me both, lol. I just hope if Trump wins, he doesn't cause too many internal problems and foreign conflicts that the U.S. can't climb out of. I always said, Trump supports had better be careful what they wish for.

You are confusing two completely separate issues. I don't like the Iran deal any more than you do. That has literally zero to do with Castro or Cuba.

Though in fairness -- the people of Iran (not the government of Iran) just held elections and voted for a reformer. Turns out, the people are probably sick of the status quo there as well. I wonder how that will go? I'm hoping for the best.

www.latimes.com...

But I believe in people, not political talking heads, and I don't believe that any president -- no matter how "strong" can save us from ourselves if we are hell-bent on (self) destruction.

If we let terrorist attacks on another nation on the other side of the world thwart diplomacy here so easily, then we might as well completely hand over the reins to the terrorists. In their wildest dreams, they never would have thought they could so easily gain control over the United States of America as what you seem apt to do. "Home of the Brave" - not "Roll over and show your bellies every time the terrorists blink."

I met Donald Trump. His public persona is completely opposite to his real person. The media was trying to assassinate his character, now people are taking him seriously.

LOL I will not be bitching about Donald Trump. I'll see you in 2017 when you start Praising his Leadership.

That isn't really a fair statement.

Bankruptcy is a business strategy to reorganize businesses or close down ones that are failed. It isn't a bad thing. Also, since we are 21 trillion in debt I find it more likely we will be glad for his experience with bankruptcy as I could easily see us going through that as a nation in the near future.

Yeah, who cares if the people are enslaved and oppressed by Castro's regime as long as you get to show off your beech bod in a 3rd world Communist cesspool of failure.

Go You!
