Many posts without sources are not rants.

One example is a post which offers an opinion and solicites opinions or information from others.

Most of the sources used are heavily biased if not outright propaganda in the first place.

Guess I should have specified more. I meant to the election and news related threads. People have titles claiming something and then no sources.

Just because someone has a source doesn't necessarily mean it has any actual academic merit.
