This is interesting, I live in jamaica and have only experienced twice, what would seem to be an encounter.

Marine saw secret craft 'virtually every night.

But he never thought to grab a camera and take a pic?

I would have reason to believe that when working on a military base all personal are denied to carry any media devices, including cameras, to prevent any illegal documentation of the facility. This should be an obvious reason why he was unable to take a picture, you would think???

Edit:

Please read an example from the US Marine Corps East Division Commanding General's Policy Letter - Re: Media Devices
Policy

I would assume this to be applied to any military or marine personal.

Oh cmon, when you see something every night you figure out a way to get your phone in there and take a pic. We can get pics of soldiers at gitmo torturing prisoners but he cant take a picture of a UFO he sees every night?

In 1969 most phones had to be physically attached to their networks, with a cord. Also, phones didn't have cameras, which by themselves were quite cumbersome too.

I think mobile phones were a lot bigger and harder to conceal in the 1960s.

Interesting story, but unless this witness was seated in a fairly elevated position while viewing these UFOs, how could he tell that the UFOs submerged deeply until the lights disappeared? These sightings were close to shore, the water couldn't have been THAT deep, unless there's a drastic drop off. Plus with the craft supposedly being 50-100 feet? Not exactly small ships.

I definitely want to believe, but I'm on the fence with this one. Star and flag nonetheless, I had never heard of this before.

I think this would have been the better title...

Conspiracy theorists claim Marine saw secret craft 'virtually every night'

From your own source headline.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if there was a black site in Gitmo. In fact there is no doubt about it.

It's almost as though something profound was fought over in the 40's cloaked behind Hitler and Nazism. The spoils of such appear in the skies from then on and kept very much from the public. ....or aliens.

The Cuban and American relationship has always been curious to me. Almost like a front for something else.

A lot of ufo stories are military related or there is a military base not far from a sighting. Can it be more obvious the US military complex has some high-tech vehicles, or are in relation with a faction (human or not) that does?

It's been near a century of ufo sightings and things that cannot be explained by our conventional wisdom, at least in the public domain.

I can't believe for almost 100 years, everyone who saw a ufo is delusional lol. If that's the case, we have more problems then ufo. ..

I've seen over a dozen ships that are not conventional, one ship about 5x the size of a traditional commercial airline.

Me thinks something non-human has made ties with government, government broke the tie, and they left, or will return.

Notice how the wave of sightings is lesser now then the previous 50 years? Just my opinion of course, based on my researches and experiences.

But I know one thing, the public is kept in the dark about something that would change alot of minds and hearts....

I have no idea what may or may not have occurred in or near Gitmo Bay in the 60's. I was busy growing up then. However, I spent entirely TOO MANY days at Gitmo in the early 1980's. (Even ONE day is too many to spend at Gitmo!)

While I was there I stood many many night time anchor watches, Walked many deck security patrols, Stared at radar screens for interminable hours, and stood at the railing just trying to catch a cooler breeze. My shipmates and I on occasion rented small outboard boats and motored around Gitmo Bay and up the river as far as was allowed. Far enough to cause an incident with Cuba once (not a fun story).

In all those days, weeks and months, I never saw anything in or near Gitmo Bay that would make me wonder about the possibility of an underwater base there. For the most part, Gitmo Bay is much too shallow for that type of structure to remain hidden at low tide. Not to mention the Caribbean water is so clear the bottom can be seen even in the deeper areas. So my personal experiences lead me to say "No". Not at Gitmo proper.

Now there are areas around the globe that I saw things that made me go "Hmmm", some things that made go "what?!?" and a few that made me say "Oh SH!T!!!".

But not at Gitmo.

Well, I never saw anything... I was with Naval Intelligence there at GTMO, but I can say that the deepest trench in the Atlantic and the second deepest in the world is just a few hundred yards off shore at that facility, so if the aliens wanted to hide a UFO base, that would probably be the place to put it...

I remember snorkling and being able to dive the 12-15 feet down to get to the sea floor, then it just drops off into nothingness. It's a little disconcerting...

well you can always golf??? If you don't mind having 2 dozen balls for the 6 foot high rough and carrying a grass mat around because of all the rocks in the fairways...

you must be thinking of the photos from abu graib...there are no photos smuggled out of GTMO...They require you to turn in every media device you have and get it scrubbed before you leave the island.

I lost a lot of porn on my laptop that I didn't want them to see because of that...

If they find encrypted files, they just DELETE them...

Cuban civilians don't work on GTMO... There is no going back and forth from Cuba proper to GTMO.

The civies there are mostly Jamaicans..

Just want to point this out for you...

The only way the second deepest trench in the world could be near Cuba, is if Cuba was in the Pacific Ocean near Tonga.

MY bad it was the deepest in the carribean and is 7686 meters ~26,000 feet deep. The cayman trench... It's still one deep ass mofo...I think I was thinking it's the second deepest OUTSIDE of the pacific...I haven't looked it up since I was AT GTMO in 2005
