The Kurds have been the only bright spot in Iraq and in fighting ISIS , actually I think the other way, Iraq, Turkey and Syria should be given an ultimatum, annihilate ISIS in 6 months or the Kurds get even more arms and get their own country. That should motivate them, and if they fail, carry through with that, set the borders for a new Kurdistan carved out mostly of Iraq and also Syria. Leave Turkeys borders alone but you know that would tick them off. A side effect is that Kurds having there own country, they would probably stop doing terrorism in Turkey as they had already had a country so what would the point be.

The problem is the Kurds do not get along. Even when unified by a common enemy like ISIS fighting has broken out among them on several occasions. Without a common threat most of them want nothing to do with each other. The PKK and the Iraqi Kurds in particular. Once the threat is gone the Iraqi Kurds do not want the PKK around but they do want the Turks. And the PKK want their land in Turkey anyway. Just as the Kurds in Iran want their own territory in Iran. And with all the arms floating around in the region you can bet the Kurds in Iran have been building up and the next time Irans security forces decide to smack them around they will likely fight back. For some reason the Kurds get an easy time in the press. And some of them are ok but, they all have problems. Even the most Iraqi Kurds who seem to be on the most up and up have been caught purging villages of non Kurds in areas they liberate from ISIS. Not to mention a Kurdish territory where the Iraqi Kurds have control will have a Turkish bases and troops in it as they are their oldest friends and allies. And that would be a problem for the PKK and Iraq.

Frankly the entire region is a mess and drawing lines on a map and creating new countries by the West is not a solution as it is part of the problem to begin with. The best thing to remember is the region is complex. That their are multiple sides in this conflict, so many in fact I doubt anybody even knows them all. And the the Kurds are not one groups, the do not get along and some of them are indeed terrorists and do things just as bad as anybody else.

As ISIS falls in Iraq we are likely to see the Kurds and the Iraqi Sunnis working together against the Shia backed Iraqi Government. That could very likely lead to fighting and you can bet the Turks will be backing the Kurds while the US tries to figure out what it should do. In Syria after the fall of ISIS the Kurds and the other rebels will move on to Assad as their next target. Russia, Iran, Hezbollah and the others will have to keep on fighting for Assad or not. And ehrn those US backed Kurds are fighting Russia what does the US do?

Let's get few things out of the way ;

Turks have been suffering Terrorism for almost 70 years .

This was an Armenian Christian Terrorist organisation I bet most people have never heard of it.

In order to understand what is happening in Syria with a small Kurdish Terrorist group , you need to know the historical narrative .

Largest Kurdish population is in Turkey .

Kurds live in 4 nations ; Turkey , Iraq , Iran and Syria .

Most Kurds are conservative and pious muslims .

Syrian Kurdish YPG Terrorist organisation is in cahoots with Asad because the Russian backed Armenian Christians of Syria are behind these terrorist organisations .

Father & Son Asads have used terrorism against Turks for almost 40 years and it is not a secret .

It is ignorance on the part of the user to not search for these facts yet keep pontificating about the issue as if they have a deep understanding of what is going on .

There are some users on ATS who are racially and religously motivated and they are easy to spot and ignore .

But there are some other users who have an objective mind and want to really deny ignorance not bath in it .

To them I ask ; due dilligence pls .

This is where Obama should have his Generals pull every dam bullet out of Turkey and base them in Israel. We know Hillary would never do that but she should move our men and women out of the firing line before Turkey does something stupid and leaves Russia no choice but to wipe those Turkish bases off the desert floor. Obama and Hillary would need to leave the country if our men and women are caught up in this mess in a big way.

Turkey needs a good ole public ass whipping. The Saudi's and Turkey have grown some huge ones lately and they are no better than your average dumb suicide bomber.

350,000 Arabs massed in Northern Saudi LMAO. Talk about cannon fodder. It will take those brain surgeons a year to learn how to fight together.

This is obviously right out of the Bible as Sheba and Dedan from Ezekiel 38 is the ancient name used for the land of Saudi Arabia. Gog and Gomer is Turkey.

People need to remember that parts of Syria in Gods eyes belongs to Israel and was Israeli land back then so when Ezekiel was given the words from god regarding verse 38 we could be very well be seeing the start to the Gog-Magog war. See the map below to see what I am talking about.

Obama will do NOTHING.

He’s got not an iota of dynamic leadership ability.

He only does what’s expected of him as a standard democratic liberal.

Anything that involves, risk, dynamic thinking, imagination, real knowledge can’t be done by Obama. He’s like an old 386 computer…He’s not even a Pentium.

He will not do what right here just stall until he leaves office.

Yes the last terrorist attack on Ankara Turkey blames YPG and claims they are using US supplied weapon's. However another group took credit the Kurdistan Freedom Hawks (Tak) . They are against Turkey claiming its a dictatorship and want to free Turkey. As far as Kurds they are a widely varied group that contain all religions like sunni shia and christians. YPG is considered a huge threat to Turkey and blamed for everything mostly because they are a Christian sect yes religion is involved. YPG was started when Turkey crushed a Kurdish rebellion .

Indeed .

But there is also a hidden conspiracy to this Syrian conflict one which involves Greater Israel vs Greater Armenia which is never talked about .

It's a shame because it would really explain everything , including the inner conflict within the NeoCon & Zionist movements.

I often also see other members who chant " Kick Turks out of Nato " ; meet Turkish Chief of the General Staff :

General Hulusi Akar (born January 1, 1952) is a Turkish Army general currently serving as the 29th Chief of the
General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces.

He previously served as the commander of the Turkish Land Forces as it is traditional for the commander of the Turkish Armed Forces to be previously the commander of the Army.

General Akar is favored by NATO and is a military geopolitical strategist with experience as a brigade commander in various NATO engagements including ISAF, Operation Allied Force during the Bosnian War and contributions to Kosovo Force during the Kosovo War.

We will be waiting for the revived Ottoman scum to attempt to behead us.. LOL

I wouldn't go far into how bad Armenians are after last century's GENOCIDE by the scum Ottomans. They had a nice genocide on the Greek, and Assyrian populations as well.

Reviving that vicious murdering caliphate is like reviving Adolf's Reich.

Tell ole Tayyip hi for us

When is Turkey going to brand ISIS as terrorists

Turkish forces kill nearly 200 ISIS militants in Syria and Iraq in retaliation for Istanbul bombing

ANKARA (Reuters) - Turkish land forces have fired nearly 500 times on Islamic State targets in Syria and Iraq, killing almost 200 militants in response to a suicide bombing in Istanbul which killed 10 German tourists, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Thursday.
Turkey will also carry out air strikes against the radical Sunni group if necessary and will maintain its "determined stance" until Islamic State fighters leave its border areas, Davutoglu told a conference of Turkish ambassadors in Ankara.

Turks are infidels according to ISIS/DAESH .

With their modern military and secular democratic tradition Turk is obviously an enemy of evil like DAESH/ISIS.

Turks stand to loose big should DAESH/ISIS is allowed to grow stronger .

You probably think that Kobani was saved by heroic Kurds .

Turks branded DAESH/ISIS as terrorist some years ago and that is not surprising.

Surprising how effective the Russian propaganda in EU & USA about the need to dismantle , self abolish , self retard .

Yes we're lucky to hear of any Armenians at all.

Turkey, the successor state of the Ottoman Empire, denies the word genocide as an accurate term for the mass killings of Armenians that began under Ottoman rule in 1915. It has in recent years been faced with repeated calls to recognize them as genocide.[24] To date, 29 countries have officially recognized the mass killings as genocide,[25] a view which is shared by most genocide scholars and historians.[26][27][28]

I really doubt the Saudis are willing to give up their spot as top sh# in the sunni-extremist world, and I doubt most of the right wing muslim world wants to follow liberal kaffir-tourist-friendly Turkey. So unless Erdogan kicks his dumbf##kery up a notch to 11, they wont follow.

And if that happens, Russia and the US finally unite in that grand old New World Order crusader plan!

Few things to consider ;

Saudis are threatining US & EU & China with withdrawal of 7.5 trillion dollars of funds .

Russians would take Europe over Asia Minor any given day .

Change is going to hit Iran soon after new Mesopotamia borders established.

Why wouldn't 57 sunni nations cooperate to create a union of some sort ?

it is in their own interest and permission to do so is not sought neither required .

U.S.: "We're going to fight ISIS." *Proceeds to use fighting ISIS as pretext to ensure Assad's ouster and implementation of new regime, presumably more favorable to West and less reliant upon Russia*

France: "We're going to fight ISIS." *Proceeds to assist U.S. in above, not really taking decisive action to destroy ISIS - until domestic terror attack, which is followed by almost immediate and resolute retribution*

Kurds: "We're going to help you guys fight ISIS" *Proceeds to, while proving to be the most effective force against ISIS, expand its territorial influence and staging along Turkish border*

Russia: "We're going to fight ISIS." *Proceeds to target U.S. backed militants, leading to enormous reversal in favor of Assad regime forces. Also supports the Kurds, antagonizing Turkey."

Turkey: "We're going to fight ISIS." *Proceeds to use ISIS as pretext to fight the Kurds, and antagonize Russia. Demands ostensible ally U.S. condemn Kurds or 'measures will be taken,' despite also asking for NATO concensus on a ground operation (which will not be forthcoming.) Also contains domestic elements - possibly/probably with at least silent/tacit approval from leadership - buying oil from ISIS.*

Saudi Arabia: "We're going to fight ISIS." *Proceeds to threaten invasion to stop Assad's advance, backs off in diplomatic language once Iran speaks up. Also tacitly allows the very existence of ISIS in the first place, to some degree profiting from it incidentally.*

Iran: "If Saudi Arabia fights 'ISIS,' then we might just get involved in 'fighting ISIS' too!"

Unaffiliated Syrian people: "Let us out of here!"

The Syrian civil war: the cluster Franklin of all cluster Franklins, being exploited and exacerbated by all sides in a proxy war and tangle of alliances and conflicting interests more gargantuan and confusing than those which led up to WW1.

There is no righteous cause here, nor any 'good guys' as far as I'm concerned. There is one thing and one thing only in my opinion: a tragic mess.

Peace.
