Seems kinda redundant with the amount of dating sites, speed dating events and singles parties already around.

Furthermore, Valentines Day isn't specifically aimed at people in relationships, I think it is also supposed to be a day on which singles can make their romantic feelings known towards other singles.

Having looked for events for singles, there isn't really anything round these parts, nor any speed dating. Have checked out a few dating sites but they are all the same and all really rubbish and seem to have a lot of con artists and fake accounts. I agree, Valentines Day is not just for couples, however, as a single, one needs to actually meet other singles in the first place in order to make their romantic feelings known.

Maybe there is a group you could join somewhere like painting classes, or something that you enjoy to meet like minded people.

I have looked into that, but not found anything so far. I'm still looking though.

I am in a long term relationship and Valentines Day is just like any other day . I do not need any presents , we surprise each other during the whole year.So I do not care for that date too much. And for you who are alone, please cheer up you will find a significant one. Sometimes is better to be alone, than i bad relationship.
