When I was talking about the WPA. Tpeople worked for the WPA and that was their only job. Basically if you went on welfare at the time you did work for the WPA and got your benefits from the government. If you already had a job you could not work for the WPA as a "worker". They did have normal people that where hired as engineer and such.

I am a veteran so i get VA health care for the past thirty years. I also get Medicare. I get great care from the VA and can be seen, diagnosed and prescribed within a hour or hour and a half. Of course there are dip #s like you that will insist my VA care is terrible yet most of the doctors at VA are well known doctors from the local area. Last year I had my Gall Bladder removed. It was done as a outpatient basis with no complications. It cost me zero. I've had health plans in the private sector as well. Usually specialists are worthy but other than that there is very little in comparison.

The GOP has denied health care to the public since Truman. It's disgusting to see friends and family who do not have health care. Then i get on the web and some obnoxious worthless little # wants to compare apples with oranges. Like i said earlier, the post office has done a magnificent job for hundreds of years. Face it son...you are under the influence of FOX News Kool-Aid. You NEOCON types will pass like a fart through a camel's ass with little positive benefit in you're wake. We defeated NAZI fascists back in the day and we can do so today as well. Sanctimonious neocon types come and go and when confronted with "real" and knowledgeable people who refuse their mind-traps and they tend to morph into the woodwork. Watching these freaks battling in the GOP debates is more than amusing...lol. They are just a little bit more obnoxious as their Democrat counter-parts. I understand the nitpicky thing. Fair enough.

Yet, my friend's buddy went and bought a machine gun at Cabela's over the weekend.
A machine gun? WTH???

As far as my friend's buddy, Mr Wigs says our friend was mistaken about it being a 'machine gun'. What the buddy did was buy a semi-auto rifle. Mr Wigs says the size of the mag capacity, or a modified handgrip, or a bayonette, all of those are included in this 'not properly defined' definition.

I understand all about just putting a sight and synthetic stock with a hand-grip, or folding, or bipod, or a flash suppressor - even on our little Ruger 22 - that makes it an "assault weapon."

ANYWAY - he was Army, an expert, sharp-shooter, and everything else they qualify....

Any weapon, firearm or not, can be used to assault.
A stock or bayonet makes it no more assaulty then any other thing.

The Govt, Progressives, have given us the "assault" term.

From someone that doesn't even know the difference between a semi-auto firearm and a machine gun, and where you can purchase one, the laws regarding it, you sure do seem to think you are qualified to speak about it.
